Actually that's a huge, gaping plot hole now that it's been pointed out. Historically, rich people notoriously ignore crisis and hold parties, balls, galas etc...

Maybe there was one but it got removed when the Noble's quarter got cut as an explorable area in Act 3, but now I'm really annoyed lol

Baldurs gate not having a ballroom scene where we get to see Wyll in his element was such a mistake. It wouldve been cool maybe if instead that was tied in with finding his father and maybe there was clues or investigations to make with npcs to finding the iron throne

Brennan's flabbers were ghasted, Emily couldn't breathe for laughing, and Siobhan was handling the fight pit in the most tactical manner for what it was and probably figuring out her next 'steel chair' or 'sniper' moment. You can't tell me in a new world full of unknown there won't be another weird linguistics puzzle or some such.
