Dearest mods, I received the "Devil's Minions Minions Zine" today and can't express properly how very deeply impressed I am while flicking through those incredible 100 pages! Thank you so much for your initiative and your effort you put into this! And of course also thanks to every author and artist who submitted their texts and artworks! These 100 pages of pure devil's minion feels like heaven for me 🥰.

What would you suggest how to comment on all of these fine pieces? Since I am, of course, determined to comment on everyone of them (although I will probably need a whole year for doing this 😊). Do I send my comments to the authors and artists directly or do I send them to you? I could also post them on my account but I don't want to spoil anyone. So what would you think which is the best way?

We definitely encourage you to share your thoughts directly with the authors and artists! If you look back in our archive, we have included social handles for authors and artists on our Community Spotlights. We do currently have an embargo on posting work outside of the 'zine, but we do anticipate authors and artists putting work up on their own platforms later in 2025 so you can also share thoughts that way.

If you aren't sure how to get in contact with a particular artist, though, feel free to send your thoughts to us here and we will (privately) forward them along.

If you'd like to post broad thoughts about the zine as a whole, feel free to post them and tag them with #devilsminionzine either here or on bluesky - we'll be checking in there and would love to hear any feedback people have!

Over 120 people have already received their copy of the digital zine! Collectively, we have raised almost $2,000 for charities worldwide!

Charity Spotlight

Digital copies of the Devil's Minion's Minions Zine are now available! Thank you to the over 100 people who have already donated and received a copy. We are nearing $1,800 donated to charities around the world!

Let’s take a closer look at two of our featured charities. Both were chosen because of connections to Assad Zaman and his past work: 

Ghetto Film School:

Ghetto Film School (GFS) is an award-winning nonprofit founded in 2000 to educate, develop and celebrate the next generation of great storytellers. With locations in New York City, Los Angeles and London, GFS equips students for top universities and careers in the creative industries through two tracks: an introductory education program for high school students and early career support for alumni and young professionals. GFS annually serves over 8,000 individuals, 14-34 years of age. 

Assad has supported GFS as a participant in their Table Reads as a supporting artist in 2024 and 2025.

Royal Shakespeare Company:

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) seeks to bring people together to experience stories that deepen our understanding of ourselves, each other and the world around us. Their mission is to redefine how Shakespeare and great storytelling connects us, creates opportunities and brings joy. They do this through their work on stage and through education programs geared towards students such as their First Encounters program.

Assad has performed in several RSC productions including Coriolanus (2017) and The Winter’s Tale (2020). He also participated in a First Encounters touring production of Julius Caesar in 2018.

Digital copies of the Devil’s Minions Minions ‘Zine are NOW AVAILABLE!! 

Those who donated on or before June 9th will receive access information via the email address included on your proof of donation submission form by 11:59pm ET today.

We are sending it out in small batches to cut down the likelihood it is flagged as spam. If you do not receive your copy, please check your spam folder and reach out tomorrow if you still have not received it.
