I love plots in which Astor forms some kind of attachment. He’s observant and provides and shows his affection his own ways. He’ll protect you. He’ll let the world burn for you.

And yet it’s STILL never a guarantee that he won’t still let you be killed or kill you himself if it comes down to it.

To be loved in any way by Astor is to be safe from everything except him.

He does! He enjoys a slow cooked to perfection roast, delightfully crisp on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside.

He was usually the sort to skip lunch, truth be told, too preoccupied with this or that, but he’s been that way since he was young and it never really made much impact. Perhaps his high protein diet was to blame. Either way, he didn’t start experiencing noticeable weight loss until the malice entered his system and began slowly deteriorating his body.

He does enjoy preparing food! Cooking is one of the more surprising hobby’s that Astor has. He’s very particular about it and is meticulous when it comes to preparation.

Just thinking about different Roleplaying experiences. Tumblr is pretty unique in that you keep a variety of one on one partners and they’re all consistent characters/plots!

I remember in my MSN Group days, it was pretty much all group roleplays in threads. Anyone could join in and sometimes there would be up to five characters in a single roleplay! Normally it would naturally narrow to two or three, though. And those plots might or might not carry over to other threads.

Then there was Gaia Online. A bit of the same format for group roleplays, but the groups got HUGE. I would lose track of how many characters were actively in it. You could also advertise for one on one roleplays and I remember having a few good threads with that!

But the idea that you have a central “hub” and can send out promos, have a followers list specifically for roleplay, have memes to reblog (which are basically writing prompts), that was never really a thing until I came to tumblr!

I did take a break between my last days Roleplaying on Gaia Online and coming to tumblr some…hot damn, 15 years ago??? So I wonder if some other roleplay communities developed in similar ways. I’ve seen Reddit roleplays operate pretty much like Gaia’s one-on-one requests, but again, nothing like the hub system that’s here.

I just find it all really interesting to think about. The tumblr rpc is something special, for all its “quirks” lmao

Character in general: Kohga is SUCH a fun character. I've become so fond of him and all of his potential backstory. You can take him in so many directions and it's still going to be hella interesting. Love this goofy villainous ass.

How they play them: So all that being said, I never thought of Kohga too much UNTIL Al came along. And ya'll, I fell so in love with this character, especially as written by Al. He's got so many great angles to him and he is just always a delight on the metaphorical page. There's nothing I would change. His characterization is PERFECT.

The Mun: Al is such an awesome mun to work with! Always down to clown, down for angst, down for the fucked up and toxic, all in ONE dynamic. They do great back and forth work for plots and improv, making off the cuff threads an absolute treat! I'm so thankful that they're in this nerd corner and that I got to meet them.
