I'm revising chapter 71 which is huge, probably the biggest I've ever written, have a lot of plot, lots of swearing, explicit content and everything you should have expected from such a brutal story, I felt like I was in the first chapters of the story, writing the most absurd and grotesque things in the world. But the end will make it all worth it. All the suffering will culminate in something unforgettable. You'll either love this chapter or hate it forever. Definitely some will cry...

"How did you meet Jacob?"
Alma: I broke into his room and watched him while he slept. But he didn't know it was me, so officially he saw me at my house, knitting.
Caul: I should disregard my time as a bird, right? He only noticed me when I turned human and got naked in front of him and then killed a girl by impaling her, all this in front of him.
Bentham: God, you guys are weird, the first time he saw me I was in the hallway while he was terrified of my grimbear and thinking I was a serial killer

Emma Bloom would have been a much better character if she didn't have some sort of emotional dependence on a dead asshole man.
I started the first book furious with Jacob's crush when it was clear that Emma desperately wanted a replacement for the guy she never got over. And Jacob being identical to Abe is just a bonus, she wanted Abe back and Jacob seemed like the love of her life coming back to finally choose to be with her.
Jacob was just a very confused guy who had just discovered a new reality and was in danger, while Emma is someone who needs psychological help, because some idiot played with her feelings for 23 years. There was never a chance they could be a good match. It was frustrating to see Emma comparing Jacob to Abe and this possibly made Jacob himself compare himself to his grandfather.
And in the end the cycle just repeated itself, Emma didn't stay with Jacob, and probably the romance they had will haunt her for the rest of her life, or maybe not because Jacob was decent enough to end their relationship outright and talk to Emma afterwards. (Let's ignore the extremely idiotic attitude he has afterwards and how he moved on to another bad relationship with another traumatized girl.)

I don't like Emma either, but...
Excuse me, what do you mean you think she suffered less than the others?
Her mother rejected her and ran away, her father beat her and tied her up, when she ran away she could never see her sister Julia again, she was kidnapped and was probably going to be enslaved, she fell in love with a jerk who abandoned her and deceived her for 23 years, had her heart broken, she watched her loop friends die and stayed to comfort those left with her, and when she thought she found a new love, She suffered another heartbreak, she almost saw everyone she loves almost die several times.
She may not have been DODA's greatest martyr, but if you add up everything she suffered throughout her life, she carries an infinity of traumas.
Being exhausted in DODA is the least of it. Bad timing? Definitely, but who can blame her? She definitely needs a psychologist, therapy and medication.
I've always disliked Emma, she shouldn't have nurtured the romance with Jacob, after all she never managed to get over Motherfucker Abe, and that damn CALL in AMOD... Her mistake wasn't calling Abe, her mistake was not giving Jacob that chance, he deserved to say goodbye to his grandfather properly, even if it was this way. Emma is very selfish sometimes... But it's not her fault, she's a VERY traumatized girl who didn't have any psychological help, she was rejected and used so many times that I think she's more worthy of pity than of hate.
unpopular opinion emma is my least favorite character and there is a couple reasons why but one reason that sticks out in my head is in tDoDA before the group decides to split up before the final battle their talking about what to do and their current situation yada yada; emma starts to cry
and im looking at horatio, and julius, and noor, and jacob, and bronwyn, and enoch, and literally all the other characters
and to me, this seems like an attention grab
why is she crying right now
yk?
not to mention she, compared to any of the other children, is on the lower end of the list of who has suffered the most this series
what is she crying for? "im tired of fighting" or whatever she says that's great so is everyone else now is not the time emma
there are more reasons but it was after that moment that i knew for sure she was my least favorite

I really hate that Ransom decided to say the period in which each child lived and completely fucked up the logic of loops, I would be much happier not knowing that Fiona and Hugh met in 1840. Because knowing that it doesn't make sense that they would be alive in a loop 100 years after that. And it makes no sense for them to have participated in the peculiar children's show. Ransom Riggs managed to screw up the easiest time travel system ever

I don't think I've ever put so many TWs in one chapter in my life. The ending of a story is always disturbing.

I was disappointed in LOS when Emma didn't burn Lorraine's forehead...
We'll have to make this happen through fanfics.

I can understand this problem, lack of stimulus is complicated, kudos and views are just numbers, there is not even any interaction, it is like speaking to a crowd of ghosts, they are there, but you can't see them. That's why I prefer comments, the feeling of "hey someone read this, I'm not talking to myself!" It gives the feeling that someone values your work and this is stimulating for creativity.
Hi, do you have any idea when you'll post more chapters of your fanfic?
I'm looking forward to seeing Alma discover what her children have done.
Being honest here, I have no idea, it's the kind of thing I do when inspiration comes to me. Writing fics is tiring and not very rewarding, I work on the basis of stimuli, and generally I hardly receive any when I write something. I rarely feel like my work has paid off.
There's only one chapter left for the fic to end, and I'm going to finish it with all the love possible, I hate not finishing my works.
