It's amazing that I still know how to write after all this time... I didn't particularly like the new chapter of ANE, but the next one will be much better.

It's very tiring to research everything to make sense, it was a challenge to evolve the children's powers like Horace. Or to make loop keys make sense. I've been studying so I don't stray too far from Canon. And now I know everything about a bunch of mythologies that I probably won't even mention anymore.

This is just another rant from a tired writer, ignore it.

Unfortunately, I will have to pitch in my idea about Horace/Julius

Just because Horace only has a crush, doesn't change the fact that he's only around 13. Unlike Enoch, he isn't from the Victorian era. He would have been born mid 1920s.

Now as for Julius, it was implied him and Horace had a relationship (read: implied), though it would appear neglectful. He ignores Horace, and thinks very high of himself. Even though they were seen having their fingers interlocked, once, he only notes their similar taste in fashion. Verbally, nothing more and nothing less

Horace is just a pre-teen, having crushes is normal at this stage, I compare his situation to Dipper and Wendy in Gravity Falls, he's just a pre-teen enchanted by someone older. This is normal and will not lead to anything. It's not appropriate, but it's been common since the beginning of time.

Julius is a traumatized adult whose ending was left open and half the fandom thinks he died, he has no interest in Horace (I mean romantically) They may become friends, but it won't go beyond that.

When I say that Horace and Julius have no relationship, I'm referring to a romantic relationship, they can be friends and that's okay. What I find extremely problematic is the emptying of the agenda they do using these characters, they act as if Horace had a Canon romance with Julius. They condemn Julius and treat him like a pedophile, when nothing happened, he did nothing, at any time.

Julius seems to me like a plot device to imply that Horace is gay, but not allow the fandom to ship them. This is the most morally easy way to prevent a ship from existing, but it usually backfires.

Basically my point is: Julius and Horace can have a friendship, and that will be their only relationship, romantically speaking they have nothing, and they never will.

I love how it's totally possible to fit anything into the Peculiar aspect. : any mythological god could have been a peculiar. Any folkloric creature can be a peculiar animal.Any unexplained story could be a peculiar event hidden by the ymbrynes.

The Yeti may just be a peculiar animal, the Titan Kronos may just have been a peculiar giant, and the Tunguska event was a peculiar accident. You can fit almost anything into the peculiar aspect and create aus, headcanons and more, it's so fun.

I'm revising chapter 71 which is huge, probably the biggest I've ever written, have a lot of plot, lots of swearing, explicit content and everything you should have expected from such a brutal story, I felt like I was in the first chapters of the story, writing the most absurd and grotesque things in the world. But the end will make it all worth it. All the suffering will culminate in something unforgettable. You'll either love this chapter or hate it forever. Definitely some will cry...

Alma: I broke into his room and watched him while he slept. But he didn't know it was me, so officially he saw me at my house, knitting.

Caul: I should disregard my time as a bird, right? He only noticed me when I turned human and got naked in front of him and then killed a girl by impaling her, all this in front of him.

Bentham: God, you guys are weird, the first time he saw me I was in the hallway while he was terrified of my grimbear and thinking I was a serial killer

Caul after becoming White of the Hollow

Emma Bloom would have been a much better character if she didn't have some sort of emotional dependence on a dead asshole man.

I started the first book furious with Jacob's crush when it was clear that Emma desperately wanted a replacement for the guy she never got over.And Jacob being identical to Abe is just a bonus, she wanted Abe back and Jacob seemed like the love of her life coming back to finally choose to be with her.

Jacob was just a very confused guy who had just discovered a new reality and was in danger, while Emma is someone who needs psychological help, because some idiot played with her feelings for 23 years. There was never a chance they could be a good match. It was frustrating to see Emma comparing Jacob to Abe and this possibly made Jacob himself compare himself to his grandfather.

And in the end the cycle just repeated itself, Emma didn't stay with Jacob, and probably the romance they had will haunt her for the rest of her life, or maybe not because Jacob was decent enough to end their relationship outright and talk to Emma afterwards. (Let's ignore the extremely idiotic attitude he has afterwards and how he moved on to another bad relationship with another traumatized girl.)
