I think Donald Sutherland was really onto something when he said that Snow adores Katniss in a strange way, and she is a kind of window to what he could have been, and I would go further and propose he feels similarly about all four victors.

He loves their spoken and unspoken understandings, the messages he sends them (milk for Haymitch, roses for Katniss). He wants to possess them (golden cage for Haymitch, the wedding clothes, making Peeta his wartime mouthpiece). There’s a kind of hideous affection or intimacy to all of it. It’s why he laughs when Katniss assassinates Coin. That’s his (never his) clever girl. And it all begins with Lucy Gray, the ghost girl he loved, but not enough.

It’s like the mockingjays. He hates them to a degree that it becomes an obsession.

In memory of Judith Holmes Clarke, who passed away earlier this year in March.

She was one of the leading artists for the Disney Fairies book series (and one of few Disney credited). Her art shaped the brand to the point it was even featured in the end credits of the first Tinker Bell movie. Judith passed away the same year Disney Fairies series celebrates its 20th anniversary 😢

I'm sorry I didn't say it sooner, but thank you, Judith, for being my inspiration for so many years. I only wish I could've said it in person. May your soul rest in peace

And you know what? You have no idea how mentally and emotionally trying this is. Asking for help isn't easy at all, but when I think that the price will be staying alive, getting our basic needs and rebuilding our lives, it pushes me more and more to do this until we reach our goal.

This is Ola, the older sister who is trying to help her family. Deyaa is a 15 yo from Gaza, I have posted about his previous campaign, after getting the money needed to evacuate but not being able to because Israel closed the border, he was bombed and lost both his arms.

Not long before Deyaa being injured his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, please help us spread this campaign to help them cover basic needs and medical expenses, donate if you can any amount will make a difference.

If anyone has any information about medical evacuation for people in Gaza please reach out, the hospital where Deyaa is being treated is located in an area that is currently being invaded by the IOF.

However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life.
