Because so much of this hell game requires parties to do in a timely or successful manner (ie. instances), do any of you mooks play Ragnarok X: Next Gen? I can only talk about my experience, but I haven't had any issues so far even though I've linked to my very obviously proship social medias--however, I also don't post any "problematique™️" art to any of the ones I included on my ArtFight links list. They aren't getting my aethy lol... Not that there's much there either.

Granted I also haven't bothered to join the Discord... lol. I just keep to my little corner, which includes (this year--I haven't bothered to do it the three years prior) vetting who follows me and who I'll be drawing for in that I'm going through their social medias and blocking them on AF if they have "proship dni" anywhere outside of AF. Dunno if necessary but this year I'd rather not expend effort for anyone who'd lynch me over, say, enjoying gothic horror a little too much.

I think, so long as you don't make your position known on your AF profile (DNIs and the like are banned on there anyway, and even antis don't mention their stance on their AF profiles probably because of this; the most you can say in terms of a DNI is, if you're a minor or an adult, for adults/minors not to interact with you, iirc) and refrain from linking to any blogs/etc where you post dark- or comship flavored art or saying anything about the topic in the Discord if you join it, you'll probably be fine? I'm a nosy bitch and I've checked out some people I drew for before and some of them were staunch antishippers but no one's virtually jumped my ass over it yet.

tl;dr so long as you take steps to fly under the radar you probably won't run afoul of the b& hammer. I haven't yet and I've been there since 2022

Also if you have any OCs with dead dove/etc tropes you might have to water them down or refrain from posting them just in case lol. Save them for CreativeClash I guess

The pros of wearing a mask (aside from the whole preventing the spread of illness thing):

If you have allergies, you don't have to take any/as much medication to manage them. This is great because masks, especially reusable masks, are way fucking cheaper than shelling out $20+ a month on allergy medications that might not even fucking work.

If you live in a place with air pollution, you're saving your fucking lungs. This is especially pertinent when there are active wildfires because the smoke gets dispersed across country/countries, but also great if you live in a city or some dusty country hellhole.

It preserves your privacy in a world of increased surveillance. Bonus points if you have a mask with a funky design that further fucks with AI recognition (although in terms of privacy, an easily identifiable mask won't do you much good).

It also preserves your privacy in a world of nutjobs who post videos of randos to TikTok and other idiot brainrot sites without permission.

A fucktonne of anti bitching about "fiction effecting reality" re: "think of duh kids" could be solved very easily with comprehensive age-appropriate sex education in schools (with NO opt-outs) that include a lesson or two teaching about consent.

... Which most people in my country managed to get (at least back in my day), so it's telling why so many antis are yanks.

Like sure, if a kid's only education about sex and consent is fanfic and hardcore pornography, they're going to act accordingly stupid. But it isn't on the fanfic authors or the hardcore pornographers to give a shit because THEY ARE NOT EDUCATORS. They are entertainment and/or sexual gratification material. Their aim isn't to teach, it's to entertain and/or get you off.

Hence: schools. You know, the buildings where little half-developed people typically go to learn things. Because you can't trust the parents with this shit.
