Sometimes I think about "Buck takes Christopher [to the zoo] all the time, basically has the place memorized" and I'm like Eddie why don't you go with them when they go to the zoo? And then I remember this line happens just after Eddie has recovered from the shooting and I picture Eddie for weeks (months?) recovering from the bullet wound, in pain, miserable, probably coming back from physiotherapy appointments exhausted hurting and just wanting to cry but he always stays strong for his son - he cannot let Christopher see him break down or be hurt - so he toughs it out and pretends he is fine but Buck sees all this and every week is like let's go to the zoo so your dad can take a nap and they go and look at the giraffes while Eddie breaks and cries and heals cause when he's alone he doesn't have to pretend or perform and he truly rests, enough that when they get back from the zoo, sun kissed and clutching animal stuffies he's awake enough to really listen to their day, smile at their stories and offer Buck that look of gratitude that he's been giving him for years and I'm like thanks for taking care of Eddie, Buck. Somebody has to.

the way ravi was so starry eyed and throwing himself into eddie’s arms was so funny. like eddie pulled that idea straight from a cartoon basically and its not like all that unheard of for them to use zip lines for rescues anyway and here comes ravi “how did you come up with that?? 🤩🤩🤩” panikkar

Okay but Buck's grief centering around the fact that his family doesn't eat meals together anymore and Eddie fixing him by bringing his entire family to Buck's place to cook for him and feed his soul, healed me and Buck both.

Imagine the opening of Stuck with Eddie and Chris but now it's Buck and Eddie.
Eddie rolls over to turn off his alarm then the camera pans to show Buck on the other side of the bed, also waking up
They're brushing their teeth in matching towels
They're doing push ups together in the living room
Buck is making eggs while Eddie makes coffee
Eddie puts his watch on while Buck gets dressed
Buck smiles
"Let's do this"
They kiss and go to work.
#I'd even accept it platonically#I mostly want the matching towels moment honestly#Buddie#911#Eddie Diaz#Evan Buckley#911 abc#My posts#Evan Buck Buckley#Buck

But… he seemed so relieved he was gone. It pissed me off. It felt like he was accusing me of something.

Eddie back in the confessional booth
Eddie: I need advice Father, I lost my captain. Hot priest: *hesitates after last time when he said this about his son* And by lost you mean ...? Eddie: He's dead. Hot Priest: Okay, good. I mean, not good, but good to know. Continue.
A few weeks later, Bobby and Eddie walk into the church together after Bobby's resurrection.
Eddie: I was wrong, he wasn't dead, he was actually just lost.
Hot Priest: *over it* You are all banned from churches.

Next week? So you're saying after the finale there's going to be stuff that Oliver and Ryan specifically have to talk about? Together? Something from the show involving both of them? Huh. I'm definitely not clawing at my skin to know what's up with Buck and Eddie that they are doing joint interviews again.
Ryan and Oliver on set at Entertainment Tonight ❤️🔥
#Which could mean nothing#But hopefully not#Please Buddie smooch#Buddie#911#911 abc#Evan Buckley#Eddie Diaz#Oliver Stark#Ryan Guzman

Everything about those Mavericks tickets was so hard to watch as an NBA fan. First of all, Dallas is a ten hour drive from El Paso which is especially crazy when you consider that Texas has a second NBA team in San Antonio which is two hours closer.
Also the Mavericks have very recently become an absolute mess of a team. They currently have all their major players injured, their fans hate them for trading beloved player Luka, and even though they're playing terrible basketball they famously just RAISED their ticket prices a few months ago. Floor seats to a game are about $2,500 each. So Eddie dropped $5,000 on tickets to see a shitty team ten hours away. His bad life choices continue.
At least he turned it around at the chess tournament.

If you think this episode looks good I wrote a very similar fic a few years ago except Eddie goes into the hostage situation, not Hen.
