There is no controversy except in the mind of Donald Trump. Susan Rice was NOT spying on Trump and his transition team. It appears that a FISA warrant had possibly been issued to monitor the Russians that the Trump team was in contact with. The existence of a FISA warrant is classified, by the way, so by Tweeting about it, Donald Trump revealed sensitive classified material, and so did Devin Nunes when he held his infamous hallway press conference. What was the reason for this potential FISA warrant? If it existed, it was undoubtedly part of the investigation into Russian interference with our election, a very serious matter. If the Russians indeed affected the outcome of our election, it would be the most serious offense - our very democracy would be threatened by something like this. If the Trump campaign team had colluded with them it could possibly border on treason. What then of the claim that Susan Rice committed a crime by "unmasking" the Trump team that were incidentally surveilled via the FISA warrant? Nonsense! If it not illegal to unmask US citizens involved in such surveillance, particularly if the nature of the communications indicates there may be a crime being committed. By revealing that they may have been surveilled, and that they were unmasked by the National Security Advisor at the time, they may have unwittingly revealed that they were, indeed, colluding with Russian government officials in some way, against the interests of national security.
I'm not going to give any dignity to FB post that elicited this grounded response, but these are representative articles about this non-issue.
Like anything that comes from the White House these days, it's oxygen deprived.

...Under the Affordable Care Act and Covered California, the number of uninsured in the state is at a historic low, and health care costs are not rising as fast.Last year Governor Brown signed Senator Lara’s Health4All Kids (SB 4), and the 2017-18 budget proposal includes $279.5 million to cover 185,000 children regardless of their immigration status. But a lack of insurance still affects immigrant communities, rural California, working families and young people. President Trump and Republicans in Congress have pledged to repeal the Affordable Care Act. However, they have not proposed a plan to replace it. President Trump’s executive order on repealing the Affordable Care Act states that the federal government should “provide greater flexibility to States and cooperate with them in implementing healthcare programs.” This bill will give the state that flexibility.

Unknown assailants entered the national zoo in San Salvador over the weekend and subjected the hippo to a sustained beating with what appears to have been sharp weapons and blunt tools.
The following morning, the zookeepers noticed Gustavito acting strangely, refusing to eat and unwilling to come out of the pool in his enclosure. The zoo's veterinarians then found lacerations on the hippo's neck and face, and the animal clearly in great distress.
His condition worsened on Sunday and he died late that night despite the efforts of the staff to save him.
That is a sadism born from the mother that are California prisons and father that are Salvadoran extra judicial death squads. Make no mistake that we - the United States - are responsible for the poverty, violence and repression in El Salvador now; but California deserves special blame for whelping Mara Salvatrucha while meting out justice.

Then he looked at me realizing I was speaking about Obama, he said you must be one of the Queers for Hillary.." I said.."well , Voted for her in the general, but I voted for Sanders in the primary".... he inquired why didn't I vote for a real man...."you must be a fu##in Jew bastard...enh ..? I SAID " well some in their"... ..he told me "dont worry, when we come for you I hope I'm the one who marches you in t o the oven" ...........well I started laughing ...in his face...and zeroed in on his beedy little eyes and explained "well man my daddy was a war hero with 5 Bronze star, and he never voted for a Facist, he shot them" ..he smiled a grin just like old Stewart Bacca,a American Nazi thug I knew, when I was AT College... always did. He asked.."do you live in. Sussex co"...I didn't but I liked lying to the Gremlin in his Nazi Shirt And Trump hat..."oh yeah? Her book Lean In is an absolute sellout to women. Yes, by all means lets play by the rules the boys made up. I think not! Women can play by their own rules, thank you very much. Her meeting with Trump, her ensuing silence, her lack of any visible support for the Women,s March, like her book is an example of an the opportunistic corporatist hard at work.
A comment about Silicon Valley’s false feminist idol finally makes a peep.

I am glad that the state wide leadership has noticed my enthusiasm for California to become sovereign from voters who lack the maturity and discipline to discriminate change from throwing a Molotov cocktail at the United States federal government. They may deserve to endure thier folly being governed by Donald Trump as President of The United States, but California does not.
To my best knowlege, San Diego's participation is new to the California National Party. To borrow a phrase from the U.S. Navy (sic), that would make us plank holders in this endevor. There is plenty of work for us to do, but I want to do it with consent of the CNP members in San Diego: I invite everyone in San Diego in support of an independent California republic to ask questions, dissent or discuss my appointment and goals in the comment section below this blog post.
I do see my position becoming subordinate to a county wide organization following the incumbent model of how political parties are prescribed to operate by state law. We will have to set up county-wide officers, have regular meetings and perform regular functions like any other political party recognized by the California Secretary of State. That's not what I say is best for the CNP locally, it is a matter of law.
To start with, I propose that the following be the two goals for San Diego:
Voter Registration The CNP has to be a either a printed choice on a voter registration form or a pull-down option on the on-line registration form. We must get 50,000 of us counted by the Secrectary of State.
I have come to believe that effective activism occurs when many are willing to inconvenience themselves for a goal. I ask you to inconvenience yourself for a long time. I ask you to live inside your commitment, to remember what you saw or realized about the United States that brought you to us over-and-over until we are independent of the USA.
Let us begin.

I'm throwing you a bone here. The Green Party in the USA could go on for ever in support of voter access. For Greens, it would have legs.
It's not like the Democrats did a good job protecting voting access since the turn of the millinium - they left a void that you could fill. The only thing that you have to do is to keep an eye on intersectionality - remember the people who are darker than most of you, the ones who aren't gender normative and so on. It will be a winner!

Nexar users don’t hand over cash, but they do agree to share their data with the startup, which will use millions of hours’ worth of footage to refine its technology—or do similar work for other companies. Like many free apps, Nexar makes its money selling your (anonymized) data. In this case, automakers trying to develop their own automated tech, and seeking to account for all the wild things that can happen in the real world, will find Nexar’s piles of info mighty tasty.

When you’re on your fifth story of the day and there’s no editor because the editor’s been fired and there’s no fact checker so you have to Google it yourself and you don’t have access to any academic journals or anything like that, you will screw stories up
But as managing editor of the fact-checking site Snopes, Brooke Binkowski believes Facebook’s perpetuation of phony news is not to blame for our epidemic of misinformation. “It’s not social media that’s the problem,” she says emphatically. “People are looking for somebody to pick on. The alt-rights have been empowered and that’s not going to go away anytime soon. But they also have always been around.”

Hey Twitter, who are these people? Since you don't identify handles by the e-mail addresses that are in my contact list, I have no clue.
I've seen a lot random handles on Twitter that tweet to me because of my use of #CalExit — it's kind of disturbing, but that's the anonimity of Twiter for you. It's a bit more unsettling when you get both a notification in your Twitter feed and an e-mail about these people joining.
Here is another RFC for Twitter, I guess.

McKibben took issue with those advertising in favor of Minter’s Republican challenger Phil Scott, most notably the Koch brothers. He said the most prominent people in the state this month aren’t Ben & Jerry, but are Charles and David Koch. “That’s who’s pouring money by the bucketful into this election through the Republican Governors Association,” he said. McKibben said he didn’t know why the Koch brothers would want to put money into Vermont’s race, speculating they’re annoyed at the amount of renewable energy coming out of the state. He said whatever the reason, it’s time for residents to say that this is not how we do elections.
