I'd love to see someone cook-up some Gravity Falls AUs in a Southeastern US Bayou, New England coastal, or Appalachian setting myself. Heck, something that'd be even cooler would be Gravity Falls spin-offs with new characters that explore other lesser-known "Weirdness Hubs" elsewhere in the United States (and maybe Canada?), not unlike the Fallout franchise's propensity to set games in different regions of the US.

Alternatively, why can't we just have more original shows that could be considered "spiritual successors" to Gravity Falls that do just that? Be Gravity Falls but for other said regions of the United States. Granted, I know people would most likely accuse such shows of being rip-offs of Gravity Falls; but for me personally, I'd ideally hope that such shows just be accepted as a part of an enduring subgenre that Gravity Falls would be responsible for kickstarting.

Gravity Falls AU where everything is the same except it takes place in either the American Southwest or the Australian Outback. (If it's the former, there would probably be an episode where they try to raid Area 51.)

Interesting concept. I think we need more Gravity Falls AU's like that; not a spin on some lore aspect of the series, but just see what the show would be like if set somewhere else.

I mean for example, years back there was an AU called @gravity-key created by @twofoxes, which was basically Gravity Falls but set in the Florida Keys. There's not much fan art for it out there but what does exist is super cool and paints an interesting concept. Plus, Florida is probably weirder than Gravity Falls is on a normal day so, would've been not much difference minus being East coast and beachy with Stan probably being a Miami Vice like character maybe, lol.

Loved Gravity Keys. Wish someone would revive it and make more art and content for it given there really aren't many AU's like it.

I wanted to try and make this a kind of melancholy conglomeration of stuff. So it’s meant to show the twins reflecting on their past summer and supporting one another and encouraging each other to brave the future back home. I’m super excited for this map to be finished *yells*. Also I didn’t include one of the shots in this gif set because I messed it up and I didn’t want that to exist forever in gif form haha

The sight of a AU, fills you with DETERMINATION

Apparently my way to handle the exciment of the finale is making a crossover. I know some people have already made something like this but this is my take to it. Some thoughts about it here.

COSMIC GRAPPLING HOOK

I so in love with @the-subpar-ghost Adrift AU, so sooo much..

So i had to draw this! I’ pretty sure Mabel would miss her grappling hook, and then ask Ford if she can have one (i’m not sure if he’ll buy it in some market place like the one in Drifting Stars fic or if he’ll build it himself). Then Ford will surely modify it when Mabel ask him to have pink leds lol.

The hook can be switched by flipping the little lever on the side, turning it in a laser gun. She’ll need it.

Mabel will have so much fun with it.. xD Feeling so Space Pirate.

I also decided to draw a sweater like her main, but blue! All sparky **
