IRATA DLROW - glitching Atari ROM
The Atari 2600 is a home video game console developed and produced by Atari, Inc. Released in September 1977 as the Atari Video Computer System (Atari VCS), it popularized microprocessor-based hardware and games stored on swappable ROM cartridges, a format first used with the Fairchild Channel F in 1976. Since then, there have been many enthusiasts who really enjoy making fan-made games by using the 6502 coding language. The logic is quite different then the Java-based coding; 6502 is to control every single line on the LCD screen. Right now, there’s even an online live coding software from 8-bitworkshop. By using the example code, and changing the quantity and HEXColor I created my own visual ROM which can be open by emulator such as STELLA or OPENEMU. Also the ROM can be possible to glitched by the HEXEDIT, which can be causing decolorized/ Strong Shaking/ Mismatched/ Not functioning. I created a music video using the material I had created, showcasing the process of how an original example code can be transformed and destroyed, to capture the aesthetic of the Atari 8-bit style and Glitched TV. - Original Code by 8bitWorkshop
