DigiDaily 31: Yukidarumon

“An Ice-snow Digimon whose body is covered in snow and ice crystals. Contrary to its cold appearance, it has a very warm, gentle personality. As a Digimon that melts the hearts of those who see it with its calm movements and sweet behavior, Yukidarumon hates fighting by nature. Among the battle-loving Digimon, it dreads Meramon in particular. Its Special Move is "Zettai Reido Punch", which it fires from its large body.”

Who else is excited for us to start the 1998 Digimon tomorrow! We have 92 Digimon from this year, nearly triple the amount from 1997!

Notable Digimon for 1998 include… The rest of the Digimon Adventure 1999 main digimon! Though Gabumon and Agumon are from 1997, the rest released in 1998.

We have three V-Pets released, Digital Monster V3, V4, and V… S? Wait a minute, that’s not a V-Pet! That’s right, Digital Monster VS is the first Digimon game ever, made for the Sega Saturn. Though it didn’t have much more gameplay than the standard V–Pet, it still inspired many future entries into the franchise, such as…

Digimon Adventure V-Tamer 01! Though not the first Digimon manga, it’s the most well known, the later Digimon Adventure anime taking many aspects from it.

DigiDaily 30: Whamon

“An Aquatic Digimon that inhabits the "Net Ocean" (the Network's ocean where Digimon were born). Since it lives in the deepest parts of the Net Ocean, it is rarely encountered (the organs that correspond to its eyes have degenerated). It has a ferocious personality, and sometimes attacks by generating an enormous tsunami. Its Special Move is spurted out from the blowhole on the back of its head at ultra-high pressure (Jet Arrow).”

DigiDaily 29: Vegimon

“An Insectivorous Plant Digimon with long, outstretched vines and a wide, open mouth. Although it is a fierce, brutal Digimon that uses the sweet scent it breathes from its mouth to attract small Digimon and its long, tentacle-like vines to pull them in, it is unable to stand against larger Digimon due to its lack of offensive power. As Vegimon grows, it will start flowering and eventually bear fruit.”

DigiDaily 28: Vademon

“An Alien Digimon shaped like something that came from the far reaches of the cosmos. However, it is rumored that it was born from the seed of a plant. While hard to imagine from its overdeveloped head and octopus-like lower body, it carries terrifying offensive power. The "Abduction Kousen" which it fires from the ray gun it holds in its hand is also a threat, and its Special Move "Akuma no Nage Kiss" is a terrifying technique which makes a complete fool out of the opponent.”

DigiDaily 27: Tyranomon

“A Digimon that resembles an ancient dinosaur that existed in the prehistoric world. It sweeps everything away with its two well-developed arms and its gigantic tail. It is extremely easy to tame due to its intelligence and docile personality. For that reason, it is highly valued by beginner Tamers, and is often raised with care. You could probably say that it is a representative figure of the most basic Digimon. Its Special Move is spewing out deep crimson flames the same color as its body (Fire Breath).”

DigiDaily 26: Tunomon

“A tiny Digimon that hardened one of the feelers on its head as Punimon. From Punimon, it has accomplished a more animal-like evolution, and is covered in tufty body hair. It is still at the peak of playfulness, and it has a prank-loving personality, but its combat instinct has not awakened.”

Recent research suggests that this has evolved as "Oblivion Bird", which has a newly added tracking function, and both its power and range have been significantly upgraded.”

DigiDaily 24: Seadramon

“An Aquatic Digimon that has a long, serpentine body. Using its long body, it wreathes itself around approaching enemies and constricts them until they are suffocated. It did not have any intelligence to begin with, and it swims around the Net Ocean, wherever its instincts take it. Its Special Move is breathing absolute zero air out of its mouth, instantly freezing water and firing it at the opponent (Ice Arrow).”

DigiDaily 21: Numemon

”A Mollusk Digimon which possesses a slug-like body. It prefers dark, gloomy environments, and has neither offensive power nor intelligence. A Digimon becomes a Numemon if mistakes are made in raising it, but as a matter of fact, there appears to be some hidden secret...In order to defend itself against intruders, it uses a disgusting attack in which it throws its own poop.”

DigiDaily 20: Monzaemon

”A Digimon that is completely shrouded in mystery. From its looks, it's an unmodified plush toy of a bear, so it's rumored that there is someone within, who got in through where the zipper is attached on its back section. It wraps the opponent up in the love overflowing from this cute body (with scary eyes), and makes them feel happy. Its Special Move is its "Lovely Attack", in which it flings hearts.”
