Following last week's reveal of our new key artwork, we realized that we never shared these amazing concept pieces by Fred Gambino! He created them for us years ago during the pre-production of Between Horizons.

Although the visual style has undergone changes since, these artworks served as a great orientation in the early stages, and you can still recognize some areas from the game in the first picture (from top to bottom): the Bridge, Public Area, and Inner Hull. The idea for the dedicated park at the very bottom was later reduced to the small park around the train station in the Command Area. The second picture, of course, is the Zephyr. We originally designed the ship in-house, but Fred brought it to life as well.

We are very happy to announce that Between Horizons 1.2.0 is live on Steam and GOG now!

The first major update in a long time features a lot of fixes to community-reported issues as well as a host of visual upgrades and convenience improvements. Full patch notes are available on the community forums.

We also decided to ask our friend and concept artist Jon Dawo to create a new artwork that better reflects the sci-fi detective adventure gameplay.

Hi, Tumblr! We are DigiTales, a small German indie studio creating detective adventures for PC and consoles. After releasing Lacuna (2021) and Between Horizons (2024), we are now working on a secret third project. Follow us if that sounds like your jam!

As our first order of business here, we'd like to announce that we have been quietly working on a MAJOR update to Between Horizons that is coming to PC this week. Version 1.2.0 will feature countless improvements such as bug fixes, increased quality of life, and visual upgrades including a fundamental lighting overhaul. We will drop the full log alongside the patch on Steam and GOG shortly! 🚀
