Dino took it as a good sign that he had not yet recieved the warm welcome of a tonfa...yet. That being said, he was unsure that he would have to say to the other would be the answer he wanted. 

“ Haha, no need for the cold tone now is it? Though, telling you that I need to be back here again to return to my work as a teacher might warrant that regardless..? ”

Hibari was not the sort to touch people in a manner that didn’t cause pain. Instead, he opted to stare sharply at a few locations for an uncomfortably long time. First, he glared at Dino’s neck, biceps, and his calves. The furrowing of his eyebrows relaxed slightly as he glanced at Dino’s shoulder, for reasons only he would know. “Tch.” With only a moments glimpse at the top of the head, Hibari stalked off. He’d finished the task assigned to him, so now he was returning to Namimori-chuu.

“ ... “

Dino was no stranger to receiving cold stares from Hibari, but these ones, he really felt more than usual, somehow; like some extra weight and meaning was put behind them. He definitely got the hostile message of the first few.

The last ones had Dino silently sighed with a small smile and tilt of his head as he watched Hibari disappear. Like usual, there was a lot left unsaid, but Dino could feel that a sense of acknowledgement -- however slight -- was given to him.

Too bad he didn’t get to return the favor (in a much less hostile fashion, notably).

“Hmm…~ Haru is sure you’ve heard this many times, but-!” Haru poked at Dino’s chin. Why was it that everyone around her was so pretty? How unfair-desu. “Lean down- Haru can’t reach~” She waited for him to lean forward so she could pat him on the shoulder and on the head as well. She stared at his hands, and she grabbed his finger, shaking it like it was a handshake. Finally, she lightly held his wrist. She always worried about all of her friends. The Mafia world was dangerous and scary.

Dino couldn’t help but to laugh warmly at the genuine and sweet statements Haru made.

“ Thank you, Haru! That really means a lot. “

Then he decided he’d return the favour and gave her a small ‘boop’ on the nose and a gentle pat on her head before turning slightly more serious, but with the same warmth as he placed his hand over her wrist as well.

Dino felt like the touches were conflicting with each other, and so were his own emotions to an extent. He really couldn’t decide on going for worried, or rather amused; nor did he feel like backing out before he landed on an answer.

He said that, but Dino welcomed it nonetheless. It had been a while since he’d been shown that sort of doting, especially after taking over as head of his Famiglia. For now. Dino would indulge himself in this little moment.

“Insufferable.. Insufferable..” Acts as if he needs to think on it. “Not sure that I do. Perhaps a couple times. I have been considered irritating and cold.” 

Moves the blonds head forward gently as if he was art. “Apparently infatuating too.” Brushes out the tips of his hair till it is nice and smooth. “Enough to do this and keep the rats away. Aren’t I a dream boat?”

Pushes his head to the side and sharply runs the brush down again. Such a good boy. Letting him rip his hair out and all.

Dino groaned out of irritation. He really felt like his words and actions were just more fuel for the other to twist into his own personal amusement.  “ ‘Dream boat’ would be far reaching, Mukuro... “ Though the brushing itself could’ve been much worse if he was being completely honest with himself.

Speaking of reaching, he hissed sharply at the next tug as the bush untangled another knot, and instinctively sot his hand up into his hair as if to protect his scalp from further torture.

“ Ackh! I swear if you’re not more caref--! “  Dino paused and blinked for a second. “ Huh...that’s really damn soft actually. ”
