I have some opinions about digimon adventures 02 which may not be popular.

To be clear I love the show and digimon as a whole and some arks and characters I can't complain about but some are just so frustrating and annoying.

For example I love Cody/Iori but he barely has any screen time and it just confounds me why they didn't give him any screen time because I understand he is a character of few words but he also doesn't get any actions.

And don't get me started on T.K./Takeru and Kari/Hikari, with how they are used they didn't need these characters in the show they could of replaced them with a new male character and a new female character and they would only need to change like 4 episodes slightly, for example episode 7 the Kari stand in isn't recognized but Kari, Tak and T.K come running in, the dark ocean episode was already just filler, episode 19 would change but also not necessarily.

With T.K it is the most egregious as even in episodes where he should be the focus he isn't, for example episode 35, it's about how Cody is worried about T.K and T.K only shows up in 2 scenes in the entire episode with is when they are traveling to the destiny stone defending it and when he has pattamon digivolve to magnangemon and then losses most of the episode is Cody's thoughts and Matt talking about T.K's mental scars, if in an episode where a character is the focus he is not in the episode for half the episode that is a problem. Going back to episode 7 in that episode andromon immediately recognized Tai and recognized Kari but it didn't pay attention to T.K in the slightest the only reason T.K was in that episode was to make Davis mad about digivolution and shove angemon in the show. And if you don't see the issue other characters all got at least 2 episodes entirely to theselves geting screen time at least 70% of the episode even Kari if you want to bring up that he is a returning character even the older kids got a episode each at least.

You know what I haven't seen much discourse of how f'ed up T.K. from digimon is but he's seen and done some crap

In the first season alone he sees his partner digimon die come back and then get kidnapped, is abandoned by everyone he knows and loves like 3 times, gets threatened by so many monsters, has 12 of his closest friends and family die for him in like 10 minutes, has 3 friends die for him to survive against metal seadramon and fights puppetmon alone.

Let's not forget he killed hundreds of demons all at once in the second to last fight where he had another child's life in his hands

Like wtf he's 8 he needs intense therapy or he won't see 18

I was watching 02 when I realized something about the wargreymon vs black wargreymon fight was wargreymon should have won without help but because tai was afraid of his feelings for sora he was weaker so it was a closer match that needed imperialdramon

I started rewatching Digimon again just because and I realized the phone booths weren't connected to anything in the second episode like they saw phone booths connected to nothing on the beach and just decided that this must definitely work while there is literally no infrastructure that they know of on the island they are suddenly on and have never heard of, also like izzy can't conect his computer to anything why did that think the phone booths would work

You know what in digimon adventures 02 in the episode 20,000 digileages under the sea Cody said Jou's dad was in the hospital and felt guilty for lying but like Jou's dad is a doctor it's not technically a lie he would be in a hospital

I don't know why but using exclamation points feels wrong some how, like inherently dishonest for some reason, like i will be extremely exited and still it feels wrong to use exclamation points, IDK what about you guys
