Pendant charms study. The ink on these floral designs blew out during the firing, but I quite like them this way. I think it gives a lot of intimacy to the work

A second teapot study from my lastest firing. This one I wanted too test out a few angles of the spout for the best pour. I also a few tests with surface texture with a Hakama brush and combed metal rib

Yunomi study testing different surface decorations. From the left is two different kinds of flashing slips. One is an a subtle orange that has a tad more shine then the clay body itself and on the other side is a rich matte red. Then the middle one was side wadded with a blue wood ash glaze, and lastly a new shino I’m trying out. The shino glaze also turned out subtle and glossy against the clay body but I quite like it.

First post!! Hey everyone! I heard a lot of artists have been coming to tumblr because other platforms haven’t been so great so I thought I’d try it out!
This is a teapot study I unloaded from a soda kiln last week. I wanted to see how variations in handle changed the overall form and function of the pot. I really like the overarching handle the most aesthetically but it’s kind a pain to get the tea out when your done. The side handle looks nice too but only works well if your right handed I suppose.
