Hi all! Welcome to clone shown down. Two is better than one! Do you have a character that's a copy of another character? Submit them here!

Guidelines:

Real clones (Dolly the sheep, self-cloning organisms, etc) will be allowed!

Identical twins are not allowed, check out one of the twins tournaments instead!

All fictional clones are allowed: Organic 🦠Robots 🤖, Aliens 👽, or anything else!

This includes shadow-selfs, alternate universe selves, etc.

Large groups of clones are allowed but will be counted as 1 submission unless they are specifically given individual names/personalities (ex. the clones from Attack of the Clones)

If the character being a clone is a spoiler I will tag it approximately

The number of the tournament will depend on feedback and the amount of submissions but currently aiming for a 64 character poll, capped at 128 if needed.

Submissions will tentatively end by November 3rd, although it may be shorter or extended depending on submissions. If it is shortened I will give 48 hours notice.

Submit swordspeople for the upcoming sword gays showdown!

To qualify for this poll, your character must canonically fight with a sword or sword-adjacent weapon (sabers, long daggers, rapiers/epees and all that).

"Sword gays showdown" is just a name, please do submit characters who are bi/pan, ace, trans and other LGBT+ identities. This tournament is all about vibes so characters you headcanon as LGBT+ are fine too!

Please include full name of the character and media they're from!

I reserve the right to disqualify a submission if I'm uncomfortable with the source material (for example if the author of [media your characters are from] is racist/transphobic/etc).

Hello there! There post with the list told us to ask if a character hasn't been put in it in over a few days. I remember submitting Jinx from Arcane quite a While ago and she's not in the list yet. Is there a reason or was it just an error?

Honestly it’s just I haven’t really decided if I want her here because I’m not amazingly familiar with the content, the wiki is less than helpful, and I’m not super sure she’s a representation of disability because the two submissions kinda had different qualifiers. That said I’m not opposed to adding her I just haven’t decided on her yet. (More submissions will help us decide faster. That or like some articles or tumblr posts or whatever) Additionally that list is not currently as up to date as it usually will be as right now we’re focusing on getting the showdown at @gay-disabled-characters-showdown started.

Notes:

1.) This list is subject to change, so if you see it off a reblog, please check the link to this post here. At some point this will probably stop updating, as we tend to forget to. Before we kick off the showdown there will be another post. Characters are under the cut, the list is currently unorganized, but might get organized later.

2.) If you see a character on here and you want to submit propaganda for them please feel free to, there is no submission limit or character per fandom limit. Here is the link to the submission form. Characters from the prior round of this showdown are fair game except Toph, Toothless and Hiccup. Additionally, most characters from @gay-disabled-characters-showdown are also fair game.

3.) The amount of submissions will not affect how likely a character is to get into the showdown. If you submitted a character and they are not here, we probably just haven’t gotten to verifying your character yet. If it’s been more than 3-4 days since you submitted the character you can shoot us an ask as to why they are not on the list, it might be an error on our part.

4.) When will submissions close? We have no fucking clue. At the earliest sometime October, as we are still working on setting up over @gay-disabled-characters-showdown which is still accepting submissions here. Additionally, as we need to write image descriptions it takes us a ridiculous amount of time to get set up.

5.) If you think a character doesn’t qualify you can send us an ask or leave a comment, and we can show you the explanation we have for the character as to how they count.

7.) If there is a character or media on here you think is problematic you can send us an ask and we will evaluate. That being said it’s not about being the best most perfect representation.

Welcome to the Disabled Characters Showdown Part 2

General Information:

Who can be entered:

Anyone can be entered that is disabled. This includes physically disabled characters, neurodivergent characters, and characters with mental health things like anxiety or depression. This is pretty much limited to canon confirmed characters (We’ll get more into that in a bit). Everyone that was in the prior round here and pretty much everyone from @gay-disabled-characters-showdown are free game but not guaranteed in unless they are submitted.

The usual suspects (We will make a post that will be updated as we go with other banned media)

Toph Beifong from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Toothless and Hiccup from How To Train Your Dragon. This is due to them being the finalists in our first round.

What counts as canon confirmed:

Best: stated in canon

Other options: word of god confirmed, or heavily coded, they just aren’t gonna have a specific label due to setting.

What doesn’t count as canon confirmed (especially for things like PTSD): they should have a lot of trauma, but there is literally no acknowledgement of anything that could be construed as such.

If you are not sure a character qualifies please send us an ask.

Some notes on timing:

We have to write image descriptions for all the characters, which means to get the showdown set up it takes us a kind of ridiculously long time. This means when the showdown gets started is likely to change. Additionally, please don’t have any crises until the showdown ends on August 26. Unless you send us a message we won’t be able to respond until then. Any asks that we get by that time will be responded to, and then we will disappear off the face of the earth until like the 1st or 2nd of September.

Submissions:

Characters can be submitted in the google form linked. If you are not comfortable using a google form you can also shoot us an ask. You can submit as many characters as you like, but please do not spam the same character. The amount of submissions will not help their chances of getting into the showdown. We are aiming to have this as large as possible. When will submissions close? Who knows, certainly not us.

Please do not assume your character has been submitted just because they are from a popular media, they probably haven’t been.

1.) Please tell us if we are using the wrong terminology or are doing something offensive, we are trying our best but are also only human.

2.) This showdown will be as big as we can get it probably, however, we reserve the right to not include characters at our discretion.

4.) If you have an issue with one of the characters feel free to send us an ask and we’ll figure out what to do from there. That being said this isn’t really about who is the best representation.
