Carefully, he chooses his words without slighting her current goal in mind ( don't want to ruin her new found drive after the entire ordeal ). Opening up with a touch with gentle intention, he grabs her attention by her shoulder. "If I could, I trust I'd pick something better. Wouldn't you?" As if she would disappear, he holds on a pinch tighter. Don't go. "But because all we have is the unknown can I ask you something?"

"What if, the humans don't come here and we don't see them? The planet isn't exactly. . .liveable." Vague gesture. "Training the sentinals? Great idea! Not saying it's not at all."

Releases his anxiety by extension his touch to her shoulder. Looking forward, all he saw was a memory strangled by the weight of life changing ultimatums. Are you free, V? No one chooses to be like this. While not the better choice if he could ( he could never decide what's best for him if without her and the others ), he couldn't allow this to be a one drone task. Reaching out to V would never be a mistake.

I was doing a starter and adhded into this scene in particular. The ONLY kiss we get in m.d and it's this. He's not even phased there's worker d.rones crowding him and one kissin his arm my girl does not multi task thoughts well

Also, this and the fact he only gets flustered if the contact is by someone he likes makes me believe he's ace™ and does not care otherwise

Some thoughts™

The design difference between him and J / V is not a gender difference. It's a drone typing. He was designed this way by C.YN/Solver because of it's favouritism towards N and was a added safety net to keep him safe. Built to take a hit. Since his personality was preserved even C.YN/Solver knew that it was a possibility that it'd lose their favourite toy brother. This is all within reason and doesn't erase the fact it'd still kill him off in the past when with a host.

He and every other disassembly drone has the solver. The difference is the limiter put in place. CYN/Solver making them in it's image was one thing but to put them on the exact power scale would be a disaster in the event of one going rogue. The limiter can't be removed and is too intwined with his code. Take it out and so does everything else making him a blank slate.

Despite his emotional maturity and grown back bone, he still represses a lot of baggage with plenty of visual triggers. He's been around for quite some time and there's a lot of memories that cross over. How many times has he watched his little sibling claw it's way through his body? through V? The cruelty was not proportionate between it and J. His chest touched is big no with some exceptions.

A lot assume he's a boy and N didn't have the bravery to correct the other worker drones. He just kinda goes with it feeling like he's dug himself too big of a lie to get out of. He has no problem shooting at a baby but draws the line at explaining he's a girlie and sapphic lol
