Star Trek Femslash Week 2023 Prompt List

This event runs from the 3rd-9th of September 2023.

The rules for this event are as follows: 1. No explicit material featuring minors, beastiality, or rape/non-con. 2. Dub-con, major character death, and graphic depictions of violence are allowed so long as they are adequately warned for and tagged. 3. OT3s are allowed, as long as the relationship is F/F/F. 4. All works must feature an F/F pairing as the primary ship. 5. As this is an event for celebrating female characters and relationships, we request that you do not include genderbent canonically male characters in works for this event. 6. Written works can be of any length. Art may be of any medium, including graphics and photosets. 7. We will share 14 prompts for the week, including a Free Space. You do not have to participate in every day. 8. If you share your work on Tumblr, tag it #startrekfemslashweek2023 so we can find and share it!

Star Trek Femslash Week!

Welcome! This is a blog dedicated to the relationships between the women of Star Trek. This blog is run by two queer women who love femslash and everything Star Trek. Whether you ship Saffi, Jola, Cha’an, B7, Kiradax, Troisha, Borgnes, J7, or T’Lyndi and the many more amazing femslash couples out there, we invite you to follow us and consider participate in Star Trek Femslash Week!

On 1st May 2023 we will be releasing a participation survey to see how many people are interested in the event. This will be open for 2 weeks.

On 15th May 2023 we will open up prompt suggestions for 1 week so we can gather all your ideas.

On 22nd May 2023 voting will be open for the prompts for 1 week!  The prompts with the most votes will make it through.

On 1st June 2023 the prompt list will be out!  Start those plot bunnies up and begin typing and drawing!

3rd – 9th of September 2023 we will post daily and reblog all of the amazing works produced. 

Please tag your work as startrekfemslashweek2023 and we also will be opening up a collection on AO3 if you would like to add your fics to it.

Heeeey, here's an open access book on JSTOR you might be interested in: Fighting for the Future: Essays on Star Trek: Discovery.

This volume brings together 18 essays and one interview about the series, with contributions from a variety of disciplines including cultural studies, literary studies, media studies, fandom studies, history and political science. They explore representations of gender, sexuality and race, as well as topics such as shifts in storytelling and depictions of diplomacy.

You know you're in for a serious ride when the preface is titled "Unheimlich Star Trek"!
