She didn’t mean it like that, she just.. Perhaps she was looking for an escape. A way out. Honestly, she was half afraid to tell him the truth, of why she was locked up, of who she really was, her name, her identity, the fact she was ¼th human. Everything.

“If…”

A pause. She sits down, not caring too much if the grass was not covered, and begins pulling out a few blades, one by one..

“If i told you the truth.. no matter what..would you.. ever turn against me?”

Demons hated humans from her understanding, and with human in her bloodline, it didn’t help, and honestly, she was frightened.

Valvatorez stared at her, long and hard, he let out a sigh he didn’t know he had repressed all this time.

“We all have something about us that can repulse other people, so we tend to hide it.” he cleared his throat. “But, that’d depend on how severe it is, but no, I probably wont, I’ve seen so much of you now.” he replied with.

Yes, that was his answer.

“Help me! Please…”For some reason, her thoughts just, seemed to go for the worst. Her chest felt tight, and she found it hard to breathe. “H-help me I c-can’t..” Why now, why today.. There wasn’t much she could figure out, she couldn’t think straight. And she definetly couldn’t calm down..

It’S OKAY VAL, SHE HASN’T TOLD YOU A WHOLE LOT YET.

“I-i’m sorry it’s.. not i-important.” She pulls away after a moment, rubbing her face, trying to make it look like she didn’t just break down. “I.. do miss him.. i’ve missed him for years.. but..” She pauses, as much as she hates to say this.. “Maybe i should’ve never left the castle after all.. After being locked up for so long, i just, i felt nothing, i thought of nothing. Nothing except for the books that i had with me. So..”

She sighs, eventually letting go and pulling away. She wasn’t good with physical contact, perhaps it was just a moment of weakness. She tries acting like everythings fine, but the expression on her face tells otherwise. And she’s honestly debating weither or not to tell him everything.

Val rubbed the back of his neck...so it was partly his fault...Ouch.

“Emotions are...hard to deal with sometimes...but being able to accept them and move on...” He couldn’t finish...well, it was more he didn’t know how.

“...I never said it was going to be easy, this journey, but...If you think it is too much, I can take you back...” it was an offer made with a weak voice...He hadn’t shown her what he wanted too yet but if she wasn’t up for it...He couldn’t force her.

She couldn’t stop, she wanted to. But the moment he came running, it was mere seconds until she had actually fallen, in his arms of course. “I.. n-nobody hurt me.. my.. my thoughts..” Was all she could manage to say at this given moment, but as she buried her face in the others chest, her hands grabbed at his shirt, holding tight.

Why now, why after so many years of being alone, is it now effecting her. Is it because she was in the outside world? Something she used to do with her father who was dead? Maybe thats why she kept thinking about him. She hasn’t cried for what felt like forever, but here she was, infront of someone who was a stranger to an extent, crying. “I … I miss him .. .”

When he caught her, he made sure to pull her close to his chest, holding her securely.

“Miss Sadako...” To miss someone, there was no greater sadness, to him anyway.

He softly placed one of his hands on her head, giving it a gently rub.

“You...Miss your father, don’t you?...I bet he was a good man to you, wasn’t he...?” he remembered what she had told him, at least, he was trying to figure out words to say...dang, what does one say...?

“S-Sadako!” Val called out, rushing to her worryingly. “A-Are you alright?! who did this to you?!” in the rare occasion, he was stuttering out of worry for the girl, he couldn’t help but partly blame himself...

He outstretched his arms, ready to catch her if she fell.

She flinches a bit from the touch. More shocked than anything really. Thankful that the darkness mostly cut out any sort of light source, save for the stars, her face turns red. Physical contact was not something she was used to, let alone from an attractive man, who also is a writer. She felt, so small compared to the other, since well, she just works in a simple coffee shop trying to get by.

“Thats right you said..you were leaving didn’t you..” Her heart sinks a little.. not really wanting the other to leave town. “Where will you be going after this?”

“I uh, Wander out a lot...I always come back but...” He sighed. “I can’t seem to leave this town behind, that’s all.” With a gentle nod of his head, he took his hands off her.

“I was going to wander for some inspiration but now...It seems unnecessary, so I might stay a little longer, just until I’ve published my next book.” He put his hands on his hips. “Yeah, that seems to be the best course of action, I can’t let this slip away, after all.”

“This may sound rude but, with that in mind...Can I visit again?”

The grass was far to soft, it seemed. Unsure of what the other was doing, she waited in the spot he left her. She didn’t mind, cause even if he did leave her there alone, she wouldn’t have been upset. The area was nice, and it was better than being inside the castle.

Dusk seemed to be approaching fast, and her eyes were following the sun as it set. How long has it been.. she wonders quietly to herself. How long has it been since she’s seen the sky, that she’s been able to be outside. Far, far too long.

She says nothing as the other comes back, but there is a small smile tugging at her lips as she continues to watch the sunset.

Seeing her tiny smile, his frame relaxed as he sat next to her, letting out a soft exhale.

“You seem interested in the subset.” he spoke up. “It’s pretty, isn’t it?” He gave a small glance to her, then returned his gaze to the sunset before them.

“It truly is a wonder how the sky can go that many colours, huh?” He tried to make small talk with Sadako, because even though he offered this to her, he knew nothing about the girl. Other than she was older than she looked.

He wanted… to write about what she showed him? Including her in HIS book? She seemed startled, but at the same time, a little flattered maybe? No, honored is more like it. The fact that something so simple, something like this allowed him to come up with an idea for his next book. She felt honored, but she didn’t really know how or what to say.

“I-i don’t know why you’d ask me if you can, you should write what you feel is in your heart.” Ducking her head down a little, she pushes some loose strands behind her ear. “I-i uh, think it sounds wonderful, and i look forward to it..!”

He gave her a smile.

“I hope you’ll carry on supporting me like you have, Miss Angela.”

Using his hands for some sort of guidance, he made his way over to her, he was going to hug her, but no, that would’ve been too forward.

He was going to hug her, but thought that was too forward, so he opted to brush his fingertips lightly up her forearm, before resting his hands on her shoulders.

“I...look forward to any encounters we have in the future.” His facial features softened, yes, he could tell they were to have many encounters in the future.

“Thats not all.. !” Getting rather excited, she runs off, it might be dark, but she knows this place like the back of her hand. She put this place back together. Slowly but surely, the center seemed to be turning, and as it turned, the other could see yet more constellations flooding the top.

Scrambling quickly over the chairs, she nearly slips, hopefully catching herself before she hit the floor. “I-i thought you would like it since you spoke so much about stars .. .!” Watching him, she couldn’t help but smile. For once she wasn’t alone, and for once she could share her joy with someone else.

Tilting her head slightly, she blinks. “I-it has? But, what will you write it about?”

“Yeah! If you’ll let me write it...” With that he began wandering the centre, his hands moving as he was explaining.

“I’d like to write a fiction book based on you and this wonder you have shown me...’The girl and the house of stars’! I haven’t written fiction before, but I have a good feeling about this...A Girl who travels through stars on her way to find a true home...Hm yes, I like it! Don’t you?” With that he stopped, putting his hand behind his back, he seemed so proud of himself, so inspired.
