thinking abt how feng xun believed his sister's getting hurt to be a consequence of him defying fate at tianmen mountain, then 10 years later telling li ling that in all possible futures he could see, li ling pursuing the kidnapping investigation would lead to his death. li ling insists he has to try anyways, and the two solve the kidnappings together with no physical harm done to li ling BUT if earlier precedent were to be taken as fact, this should mean that li ling's fate is inevitable, it's just been delayed. feng xun can only see snapshots of his loved ones' futures, if at all, so imagine one day a few years later all he sees is the suici-[a double decker bus barrels into me killing me instantly]
