ok I know/dont think anyone in mass effect is ever openly or subtlely afraid of Turians for how they look but iirc they're the only widespread species shown in the game that overtly look like predators/carnivorous. Krogan are most likely a 'prey' type species and I think they're scary in the way like, a Rhino is scary. It can brutally kill you but you're not afraid it's going to hunt and eat you. Turians are scary in the way a tiger or a crocodile is scary you know. I think it would be interesting if other species found them unsettling even subconsciously idk they have claws and sharp teeth and their eyes look like that. They're freaky guys!
