//Just to keep everyone updated, I'm still around, but life is doing what it does. Lots of medical tests and appointments (with some more to come in the next couple weeks), some jury duty stressing me out (literally got 30 minutes sleep the night before I had to go in), sleep schedule and medication issues, and the infamous evil that is writer's block. Almost certainly not going to be on for the rest of this week, but hopefully things look better next week.

3. What are some features of others that attract them from the outset?

//Competence and confidence. Not that the occasional goof-up isn't cute, but seeing someone dominate a battlefield or soundly win an argument will immediately put them on his radar. Power, talent, and intelligence are incredibly attractive to him. He also loves learning new things, so a tendency to prattle on about various subjects, especially in a theoretical sense, is great, and even moreso if they have a soothing voice. And as far as physical features? He has a strong preference for "pretty" faces, regardless of gender. That sort of ethereal beauty that makes it easy to imagine a person could be a god or monarch regardless of their actual station in life, with soft and/or regal features, mesmerizing eyes, and full lips, but not necessarily perfect complexion, because scars and markings often add to a person's beauty to him.

5. What are their most common turn-ons?

//Teasing touches, casual displays of skill, flirtatious comments, suggestive looks, and heated moments. Basically, anything that involves the other person showing off or trying to get a reaction out of him.

13. Are they openly flirtatious/sexual, or are they quite private?

//Honestly, he's more open than you'd expect and is very publicly affectionate, but he has a healthy enough level of embarrassment/shame to avoid anything truly wild in front of others. It also depends on how confident he is in the other person being receptive to his advances. Earlier, shier forms of flirting are likely to involve mostly a lot of staring and taking advantage of opportunities to spend time together, but as he grows confident enough to become more coy and playful, he might whisper scandalous things to them, try to tease them with his body language, or sneak in subtle touches that can't be seen by others. Pleasant shock and weak "admonishment" (especially while grinning or trying to suppress a smile) are his favorite reactions to evoke in such cases.

3. What are some features of others that attract them from the outset?

//Hawke definitely has a preference for men who look like they could absolutely wreck him, so he's absolutely into big, burly guys, and regardless of size, visible muscles are always a plus, especially in the back and arms. Seeing said muscles ripple and swell as they strain against a particular movement immediately has him weak in the knees. Wrecking his shit could be psychological too, so cocky/bossy personalities and a tendency to be confrontational or mocking towards him specifically are also things he likes to seek out. And to elaborate on one of the squares on his shipping bingo, he likes men who look strikingly different from what he's used to, and growing up primarily among plain human farmers, merchants, and soldiers, that tends to translate to him preferring pointed ears, large and/or unusually colored eyes, horns, stocky dwarven statures, and other common non-human features. It could also include unique tattoos or warpaint, certain makeup styles, or flamboyant or regal outfits (unless they're too rigid and stuffy, like Orlesian nobility). Also, through both Anders (or Justice, if we're being technical) and Fenris, he's discovered that glowing lines and eyes are apparently devastatingly attractive to him.

11. How do they feel about foreplay?

//He's a huge fan of it, especially when playing into the feeling of him being dominated somehow or when he can feel like he's doing a good job at pleasing someone and have that feeling validated. That being said, he's had his fair share of bedmates who just wanted to get off and get out, so he can deal with it not being included.

//7. I don't know that he necessarily does feel attractive in any specific attire. He doesn't necessarily think of himself as an attractive person in general, besides the objective fact that he knows he's seen as conventionally attractive and discussed in that way by some people. The thing that actually makes him internalize that feeling is seeing or hearing clear signs that someone he's attracted to likes how he looks. And due to his enjoyment coming primarily from pleasing his partner, he doesn't necessarily have to appreciate the attire for himself; he just likes the way his partner reacts to him wearing it.

8. Lingerie, fitted suits, evening gowns, body armor, and hero/rogue uniforms. He isn't attracted based on attire alone of course, but once attraction has formed, these are the outfits he finds himself especially appreciative of.
