PARNEPAR are probably the only band from ex-Yugoslavia region that's taking strong influences from the 80's post punk & new wave music from the same area. Heavy vibes of Yugo post punk forces ŠARLO AKROBATA, DOBRI ISAK and early output of ELEKTRIČNI ORGAZAM are more than obvious, but it's also hard not to mention echoes of the more obscure acts like DEFEKTNO DEFEKTNI.

Generacion Suicida - Regeneracion LP is out now and ready to ship!!! Generacion Suicida from Los Angeles are returning with their first new album in four years and fifth album in total. The band is one of the most productive and hard working punk bees we've seen since the beginning of this millennium and we are yet again pleased to be part of their story with "Regeneracion". Recorded and mixed by Tony, bands guitarist and vocal, this album retains everything about their trademark sound so far and that is some proper raw, melodic and catchy punk rock sung in Spanish but this time with a splice of a post-punk swagger thrown in for a good measure, which is a logical progression and evolution from the sound from their last full-lenght records "Reflejos" and "Sombras". "Regeneracion" was fully written during the Covid Lockdown of 2020. 2020 was also the year where it seems people decided that they had had enough. Enough with state oppression, enough with police violence, enough with systemic racism and white supremacy. All these feelings and more bubbled up and bled out into these tracks. While there were moments in life that feel bleak, we know that the people in our community are resilient and strong, and it is for them that we wrote these songs." Mižerija - Demo CS is out now! Mižerija is a new punk gang spawned in the dark corners of Nigdjezemska (Neverland), an autonomous space situated in Zadar, Adriatic coast. This is their first offering and it immediately struck us with its infectious melancholic vibes and heavy pop sensibilities. On first listen, the band evokes some early BOYE demos, but charged with both a strong punk attitude and a breeze of modern dark pop/post punk freshness. If you like the melancholic and catchy sides of UK anarcho punk and ex-YU post-punk/new-wave, we suggest that you do not sleep on Mižerija. The songs have a strong anti-authoritarian vibe with a dash of ecology and romanticism, and in some aspects, their music sounds like a logical progression from Mižerija's guitarist's last band, Bosonogo Djetinjstvo. Even though this is likely the poppiest-sounding release on Doomtown, there are some noisy moments here that recall the "Yes Sir I Will" CRASS era, especially on the last song from the demo. The band is currently recording new songs and we are really excited about hearing some more. Limited to 130 tapes. Available in pure gold & blue risographed covers. Ilustration: Nio, layout:Bodež. 3 new tape releases + Bodež zine finally out on Doomtown Records and sub-labels!!! OC 006 MOB 47 - Sjuk Värld CS Sjuk Värld is a piece of fast, raw and punishing Swedish hardcore punk, originally released on Ägg Tapes in 1984. As this is the first time the material got a proper official European reissue, we took special care to make it look and sound good for your listening and visual pleasure. Mob 47 had an important role in defining Swedish hardcore and were heavily inspired by the almighty Discharge, so we're sure the most of you know what's going on here. Garanterat mangel! The pro-dubbed tape is available in red/grey/green cover and limited to 200 copies. Each copy includes a folded lyric sheet. DT 041 Gutterskull - Coldness Of The Bunker CS
The latest demo by Croatian one man band Gutterskull is a perfect fusion of primitive d-beat and raw black metal, which we liked so much we had to put it out on tape. "Coldness of the Bunker" continues the tradition of DIY hardcore punk bands in which KKTZ has played before, doing what he knows best, but this time focusing on d-beat, the most primitive side of black metal and first wave black metal classics like Hellhammer, Sodom, Bathory and Celtic Frost. This demo is mayhem from start to end, with a raw, primitive intensity, reminding us of the destructive grit of early Stooges. Think about absolute minimalism here. KKTZ's worship of old Discharge, Shitlickers and Disclose can not only be heard in riffs, but in bleak military-themed lyrics. Lyrically, war is the main topic here, its ruthlessness as a metaphor for a world in which struggle is all that's left. KKTZ has been one of the most prolific and longest lasting artists from the Croatian underground scene, playing in bands such as Nonsense, Fight Back, Senseless and Gruuthaagy, while also making music under the monikers Talog and Tenebrositas. The visual aspect of this release draws inspiration from the underground art scene that KKTZ has been a part of since the second half of the eighties, rooted in fanzines and through the DIY nineties, all the way to his current style, which is completely minimalistic, raw and expressive.
CBR005 Constant Cold War - Tape II CS Constant Cold War is a one-man-band/project by Marian from Cold Leather, Catholic Guilt, Imposition Man, Gesture, Moron, Skeleton Glove etc. writeup by Dirt Sleeze: "The burglar's tongue sticks out of his balaclava as he nervously tries to break into the neighborhood church through the back door. A lightbulb is flickering in a filthy kitchen while a serial killer manically rushes through newspaper pages hoping to read something about his latest masterpiece. A starving dog is violently pulling the leg of a mutilated corpse left in the bushes of a nearby park. A homeless man trips and falls on the train tracks of a U-Bahn station while the only bystander was minding his own business, Chrome's Alien Soundtracks in his headphones. An ambulance lightens up a damaged facade of an East Berlin apartment building as an overdosed teenager lies inside a body bag. A nosy silhouette is peeping through a window in the suburbs, listening to the sobbing of a woman who's about to leave her family tonight. A black cat is slipping through the cracked door of a basement apartment. There's constant static coming from a TV in an open room. A man in a long coat observes the church burglary with a smirk on his face and then vanishes into the night..." writeup by label: The second tape from Berlin's CCW delivers 6 new songs which bring early industrial, experimental post-punk to mind. Maybe even some minimal wave? Add some Flipper and Big Black vibes to a garagey lo-fi take on earlier Killing Joke, mix with some Chrome swagger and maybe that could give you an idea what CCW is all about? Marian was also listening to early Earth records a lot while recording for CCW, so a droney influence wouldn't be unexpected? Not sure if all of this makes sense, but I do hope there'll be more CCW recordings in the future! BP 001 BODEŽ – Dvadesetisedam uboda Zine The zine covers a selection of Bodež’s (½ of Doomtown Records) flyers, made mostly for local gigs or gigs booked by friends from Sheffield, Paris and Vienna. The zine is the first in a planned zine series, entitled “Bodež Produkcija” (Dagger Productions)
Bodež made his first mock flyer back in 2005, but his first official flyer saw the light of day in 2008, advertising the Danes’ Hjeretstop and Night Fever gig at the then-illegal Medika squat. This was also the first show booked by Bodež, introducing a clear and comprehensive DIY approach to his work. Even though he’s been doing flyers for over 15 years, this exhibition showcases his work from the last five years, when he took his style to another level and made it recognizable to a wider audience. As the author himself simply stated: “I began investing more time, thought and effort into my work”.
At first glance, as well as the second, even though each flyer is different from the others, they present a surprisingly strong whole. Looking at them, we don’t evoke memories of cult American flyers from our record collection, nor do we recognize timeless punk motives from the eighties. Despite an occasional unavoidable pop culture reference or hommage, Bodež’s style is quite distinguished and authentic, especially within a genre where originality doesn’t come easy. It’s also hard not to notice the somewhat nostalgic motives from comic books published by Sergio Bonelli, a publishing company strongly present on the Croatian market back when Bodež was growing up. In his words: “My interest in comics still hasn’t left those boundaries”.
If we were to name drop everything and everyone that his work reminds us of, we’d definitely mention the Crass-like patchwork of Gee Vaucher or post-punk DIY aesthetics of Television Personalities and similar bands of the late seventies - even though the flyers were put together not only by the cut & paste method, but also using some similar modern design tools, mostly Photoshop. Seems like his days in the graphic design department of a daily newspaper left its mark, which is obvious from the rest of the materials used as flyer backgrounds - even though Bodež named Hrelić, the most important of Zagreb’s flea markets, as the place influencing him the most. After Bodež’s treatment, city skylines and buildings became dystopian dwellings, reminding us of David Lynch’s early phase, like we’re in Eraserhead’s backyard, whilst the macabre motives of skeletons and demons are trying to tell us - this music isn’t friendly nor nice, be it a Post punk Wednesday or Distort Zagreb.
Some of the bands appearing on the flyers: RAT CAGE, APSURD, EXOTICA RIXE, EKE BUBA, TRAGEDY, YOUTH AVOIDERS, COLD LEATHER, EXTENDED HELL, IDIOTA CIVILIZATTO, LUMPY AND THE DUMPERS, BAD NOIDS, SIEVEHEAD…
Full color offset print on 110g. munken creme paper, B5, 32 pages, roughly a 100 copies for online distribution. 3 new releases finally out on Doomtown Records! DT 038 APSURD - Derealizacija/Svemu Će Doći Kraj 12"
“If you somehow missed one of our favourite bands from the ex-YU area, we'll mention that Apsurd are Belgrade based group of individuals, even though the band members come from Serbia and share drummer from USA. There's no much difference in the songwriting style when it comes to newly recorded "Svemu će doći kraj" EP and we mean that in a good way. The band still plays straightforward, energetic and noisy hardcore punk heavily influenced by the punk and hardcore scene of former Yugoslavia. Throw in some vibe and influence from Crass Records and Corpus Christi catalogue and you'll get the picture right there.” “Whether we're talking about primal and primitive hardcore of U.B.R., scratchy and noisy guitar work of Solunski Front or the hopeless female yelling and spoken word moments Tožibabe were known for, this band covers it all. We like to tell people this is Yugo-punk reinvented for the new millenium so if this means anything to you don't sleep on this pogoing punk troops!” DT 040 THE CELETOIDS - Optic Nerve CS “The concept of "Optic Nerve" deals with fear of using modern technology for ethically unacceptable goals through emotional manipulation intertwined with conspiracy theories that are not completely denied. We are at the peak of modern digital age and monitoring user behavior on social network is not something uncommon and this often includes serving selective information to influence the subconscious of selected or random targets. The concept also deals with dimensional gaps that occur under certain conditions, in certain places, and altered states of the human mind that we associate with psychoactive drugs, insomnia, or schizophrenia but maybe there's something else there. To cut to the chase, some conspiracy theories that have some basis may not be so far fetched from reality the more you think about it!“ “As for the music, there's some progress when it comes to catchiness and song structures but The Celetoids still balance their thing with influences from first wave of good ol' british punk, Killed by Death/Bloodstains compilations style riffs and garage punk. You can hear some outsider weirdo american revival punk vibe here and there's Spits momentum there, but "Optic Nerve" stands out on its own and needs no more comparisons to other bands.“
DT 039 PARNEPAR - Dobar Dan, Izvolite CS “After we released "Kako, Molim?" demo tape at the end of the 2018, here is the brand new offering of probably the only band from ex-Yugoslavia region that's taking strong influences from the 80's post punk & new wave music from the same area. This time the band recorded their first full length album by themselves filled with a lot of local charm we all dig and love. Heavy vibes of Yugo post punk forces ŠARLO AKROBATA, DOBRI ISAK and early output of ELEKTRIČNI ORGAZAM are still more than obvious, but it's also hard not to mention echoes of the more obscure acts like DEFEKTNO EFEKTNI.” “Parnepar surely has unique character and approach in writing lyrics and doing music collages and we are glad that this three relatively young weirdos are still into making refreshing and interesting music. It's nice to feel something different in a Croatian punk scene which is mainly composed of straight forward punk and hardcore bands.” LISTEN/BUY/MORE INFO: https://doomtownrecords.bandcamp.com/ BUY FROM OUR STORE: https://livinginadoomtown.bigcartel.com/products

new release on Cosmic Brood records!!! “Loveless Adventures” with its 9 tracks is a result of one year making and relentless touring and it's a perfect blend of minimalistic lo-fi darkwave sound of Neon Lies’ early stages when Goran was revisiting his teenage crush for early minimal synth punk and proto-industrial, and the second album, when he was more into exploring experimentation with repetition, noise, electro and up to date sounds and ideas from European underground dance floors."
"This album, recorded and mixed, as always, directly on tape by the man himself, finally brings all of this together in one deeply moving and authentic intimate disclosure of personal loss and gain, euphoria, happiness and sadness. But no matter how much this journey was loveless, it was profoundly lovefull. Dedicated to all the loners and their dealers."

new release on Doomtown is out now! DT 037 JARADA - Ma'agal Sina'a 12"
After a debut full lenght record a year ago, Jarada already crafted eight new brickwalls for a new one sided 12"!
This Israeli band from Tel Aviv continues to deliver angry, punching and chaotic music to the table, with some really bleak and negative overtones that are intertwined with hebrew lyrics that are mixture of personal thoughts with some politics thrown in! Ma'agal Sina'a means "A Circle of Hate" in hebrew and is a natural follow up to the earlier S/T 12" and it deals with several issues which you can consider as "current events" from the past year and it also digs deeper into the emotional struggles and choices one needs to make to keep his or her shit together. On the one hand it may seem more cultural-political with songs like "Monopoly on Suffering" and "A Jewish State is a Circle of Hate" and on the other hand way more personal, with a self questioning and soul searching ("Riddance", "I Was in the Army").
As on the first record, you can expect fierceful vocals, chrushing hardcore riffs and plenty scraps of everything thats great about heavier side of punk music in the last decade.

new release out now! DT 032 INDIKATOR B - DEMO CS (2019) Indikator B is a fairly new band on Zagreb's hardcore punk scene and this demo tape is their first offering! This small piece of plastic contains five vicious raw cuts recorded on a 4-track recorder at P17, the band's practice space located underneath the farmers' market on Kvatrić square. What we have here is primal and primitive hardcore punk with a dark edge, reminding us of something that could've been created in Yugoslavia's strong punk scene, cca 1983-1988. Specific lighty echoed and dramatic vocals give local charm to the songs, and among other things, the band sing and shout about living in post-war Croatia and general paranoia. New vinyl out on Doomtown Records!!! Jarada is a four piece political hardcore punk band from Tel Aviv, Israel. Jarada means anxiety in hebrew and this name perfectly captures the bleak sound the band is going for, in these thirteen tracks full of angry, chaotic and forceful hardcore sound! As for the lyrics, the band was sick of boring, mostly apolitical music, sung in english, so they decided to remind the punks around the globe that punk is a political movement in every way and since the main source of frustration was the current situation in Israel there were no reasons to sing in another language except their own. The band is heavily influenced by radical leftist and anarchist politics, political apathy in Israel and older Israeli bands such as Deir Yassin and Nekhei Naatza. Also, if you like Negative Approach guitar hooks or some recent hardcore punk bands like Repos or Los Crudos, Jarada will be right up your alley! https://doomtownrecords.bandcamp.com/album/s-t

3rd new tape out on Doomtown Records!!!
Parnepar are a fairly new band featuring some familiar faces from the local punk scene and this is their demonstration of how to play arty punk heavily inspired by Yugoslavian punk and new wave from the Eighties. If you're familiar with the cult Yugo compilations Artistička Radna Akcija and Paket Aranžman, then you'll realize how Parnepar were heavily influenced by that whole scene, and if not, we should mention Mark E Smith's The Fall as a reference, as well as Wire's early output. Namedropping Šarlo Akrobata and Paraf as proper Yugo influences is also right on track! But what makes Parnepar unique is their chaotic, raw and noisy approach to their sound so expect a bunch of feedback, reverb and noise here! Limited to 100 pro dubbed tapes, either with creme, orange or blue sleeves. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Jasmin. Artwork by Bodež.

We repressed both tapes of label's most hardworking band that seems to be on endless tour. Yep, we are talking about Eke Buba and this is probably the last chance to grab copies of both tapes! Once is gone is really gone...
Eke Buba - S/T CS
After their first offering called "Rat Bite", Eke Buba are back with five new raw cuts clocking in barely five minutes!
Properly executed garage punk on the verge of hardcore is still their main weapon, so you can recognize their early USHC influences, especially from bands on the Flex Your Head comp (The Untouchables!); throw in some proper garage chaos that the Reatards were known for, mix it together with some Career Suicide/Brutal Knights-style riffs, add an unlimited amount of amphetamine and you get Eke Buba. Well, not really, but pretty damn close!
Ladies and gentlemen, this is unique "speed of light punk" for the new millennium - we doubt it could get faster than Eke Buba!
Second press of Eke Buba's latest offering comes with different variation on the same artwork printed with risography technique. Tape is limited to 100 copies!
https://doomtownrecords.bandcamp.com/album/s-t-cs
Eke Buba - Rat Bite CS
Due to demand of punks worldwide, here comes second press of Rat Bite with slightly different artwork!
Our favourite speed freaks recorded ten songs for an upcoming tape on Doomtown Records back in 2016. After a self-released 7", this was the first batch of new songs which took the band in a slightly new direction. EkeBuba evolved from a traditional garage rock band to filthy garage punk typhoid creatures on the verge of hardcore suicide.
This tape perfectly captures the raw sonic energy the band is known for. If Jay Reatard would rise from the grave to start the Reatards again, EkeBuba would be the perfect band for the opening slot. Tune in, play this shit loud and annoy your neighbours!
Artwork by Slimpy Snot and Lana G. Limited to 100!

Nuclear Spring’s Discography tape out on Doomtown Records!!!
No need for a long introduction into the mad world of NYC's Nuclear Spring. Since the first demo tape released back in the 2011, the band had spawned one 12", a Euro tour 7" and one of their live radio session tracks appeared on Maximum Rocknroll's Sound The Alarms! compilation.
The band lasted only three years, and while the band members moved on to form La Misma, Ajax, Exotica, Vanity and tons of other great bands, Nuclear Spring left their mark as one of those bands that had perfectly captured the sound of British suburbs circa 1977-82 whilst adding some freshness and originality to it. All of their releases remain modern classics for sure, at least in our opinion, cause this band definitely had something to say. The discography tape contains all of the mentioned releases plus one unreleased track! Limited to 175 pro-dubbed tape copies. Each tape comes with high-quality risograph printed A4 J-card with all lyrics included! Layout: Bodež
