So it looks like Link Click is being released in Japanese, which I have mixed feelings about because:

1. On the one hand, more people might actually pay attention to it now. I’m also curious to see how the subtitles change (we’re all aware of how the translation from Mandarin wasn’t always super accurate and led to some... confusing moments, right?)

2. On the other hand, I want this show to be appreciated for what it is - a Chinese animation. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a show being translated into another language and I know the Japanese voice actors will do an amazing job, but I also don’t want someone’s first exposure to Link Click to lead them to believe that it’s a Japanese anime. I just want the original animation studio to get the credit they deserve, you know?

Anyway, what are you guys’ thoughts on this?

Yes!!! Can’t wait for season 2 when they will probably explain almost everything but not quite enough because 1) season 3 potential anyone? and 2) pretty sure the animators just enjoy causing us suffering lol

i sadly binged link click so i didnt rly have time to let anything truly sink in and use my brain for connections and all that but

belated thinking about how bodily limitations not being relevant when Cheng Xiaoshi possesses someone (the glasses) and how that clues you about blond guy being paralyzed not ruling him out as the perpetrator BUT ALSO that there’s potentially another supernatural entity at play and GAHHH I just love that.

[SGDLR shorts]: Daily Life in the Time Photo Studio

Starting October 10, on the 10th of every month we will be getting an animated short in a new series: Daily Life in the Time Photo Studio!

Although they didn’t specify how many episodes, the Weibo post says that the trio will accompany us as we wait for season 2. They might answer questions such as: What is Cheng Xiaoshi’s wallpaper? What is Lu Guang’s favorite dessert? Where did Qiao Ling’s “witch” nickname come from? From now until Aug 9, they will also be taking question suggestions on Weibo (post linked in reblog).

(I’m guessing it’ll be in this chibi style, a few minutes long, like the chibi shorts that featured at the end of TKA s2. Hopefully we’ll get more details soon!)
