This is one of my favorite moments in the Bridon arc.

It is rare for Lu Guang to initiate physical contact to offer comfort. Even rarer (as from what we've seen thus far) for that to be for Qiao Ling.

This was a very short but meaningful gesture. We know Lu Guang cares and values Qiao Ling, but this is overshadowed by shiguang and the sibling dynamic between Qiao Ling and Cheng Xiaoshi.

I would very much love to see Lu Guang and Qiao Ling be friends in their own rights; not solely because of Cheng Xiaoshi. Yet I believe they are friends out of respect for each other and their respective different strengths. What hobbies, memories and discussions do they share that truly makes THEM friends? What will it be, now that Qiao Ling had Li Tianxi's power?

I love seeing our standoffish cat display care, but for someone other than Cheng Xiaoshi? Even better, because we know he cares for CXS. We know Lu Guang dove back as the last one left, at Cheng Xiaoshi's request. But it was a dive to save everyone else too, and a big part of this journey involves Qiao Ling.
