RENAE [AGENT:BIRDSEYE]

The main protagonist of my work-in-progress setting, LEMEGETON. Renae, who goes by Birdseye while on the field, is an intelligence agent working for the eponymous Lemegeton, a secret government agency of New Babel wielding the unnatural powers of the 72 Demons of the King's Pact. Renae herself has made a pact with [No.39]:MALPHAS, which grants complete domination over crows and a very helpful familiar. Crows are very clever creatures, and her pact can command entire flocks of them to great effect.

ALEISTER [PACT FAMILIAR:CROWLEGION]

Renae's trusted familiar. Aleister is actually a gestalt entity that can separate into a murder of up to six normal-looking crows, or re-combine into his regular vulture-sized body. His larger body is hollow inside, a dark birdcage from which several sets of avian eyes can be seen peering.

Unusually for pact familiars, he is sapient and quite intelligent, often holding unheard conversations with his master. His many eyes are put to good use by Renae, who can see through them to conduct extensive surveillance. He is kept in stasis in an inky vial hanging from Renae's neck when not being actively used.

NEW BABEL: THE TOWER

The centerpiece and cultural center of the Free City-State of New Babel, in an alternate history to ours located where Trieste would be in Italy. A modern successor to the original Tower of Babel, its goal is to build itself endlessly taller with no planned end to its construction. Its construction was secretly ordered by ███████ themself out of spite for Heaven.

The structure is hollow and its buildings are stacked on top of one another in a ring formation, and the Tower is separated into Layers that become sectioned off once it has grown tall enough. Currently the Layers number 1 through 6.

Layer One: Street level, Train and highway access, park located in hollow interior

Layer Two: Executive buildings

Layer Three: Commercial buildings

Layer Four: Residential buildings, Airship docks

Layer Five: Residential buildings

Layer Six: Residential buildings (under construction)

The Tower would have been impossible to construct without the assistance of the LEMEGETON and the enchantments provided by the King's Pact. Its primary headquarters lies inaccessible to the public beneath the Tower, acting as a "Layer Zero" of sorts.

[No.39]:MALPHAS

The Crow Lord, The All-Surveilling, Overseer of Hell, Master of the Crow Court

[No.39] is a President of Hell and the 39th of the 72 demons contracted by the King's Pact. Pacts made with him usually involve dominion over crows or scrying abilities.

(Crows, not ravens. Ravens are under the dominion of his sister, RAUM. Mistake a crow for a raven in his presence at your own peril.)
