Chapter 6: Belly Of The Beast

Tumultuous thoughts swirled in Carlos's head about what the pirates could be planning. But any attempt to ask for further details from Harry was just met with stubborn silence.

It had to be because of the truth spell. That was why Harry wasn't trusting him with the information.

Even though Mal would obviously know what was up, and would immediately fill Jay and Evie in on everything so they could start planning on how to regain the upper hand.

That meant Carlos was officially the only one out of the loop.

All because he put his selfish wants over the needs of the entire kingdom. He felt like such a fool.

Although, deep down inside, there was a tiny part of him that would've handed Ben over to the pirates himself if it meant getting to spend time with Harry again.

That was the little part of him he'd been trying to kill this whole time. But he knew now how pointless an endeavor that really was.

please disregard the inconsistencies i drew these months apart.

Basically in highschool i starred in a production of Disney's Descendants the musical as my senior show and i haven't been able to stop thinking about it since.

Okay hear me out, Carlos doesn't like (more when he was younger but still) being angry because he's scared that his friends see him like when his mother's angry (like, kinda crazy)

Definitely understandable! And oof it's definitely an angsty headcanon I could adopt for myself.

Summary - Carlos and Harry get some alone time, and talk about what they've missed in each other's lives since they were last together.

A/N - It was fun to finally write the two of them interacting in the present, so I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!!

Chapter 5: Catching Up

They ended up at Hook's home - a creaky little cottage on a cliff's edge by the water, just a ways up the shore from where his ship was docked.

CJ and Harriet rarely ever came by anymore, Harry had explained, and Hook spent most his nights on his ship, drinking with what was left of his crew. So they had the place to themselves for the time being.

A fact they planned on taking full advantage of.

They were on each other the second they were behind closed doors.

The reunion was quick and desperate, both of them feeling like they had to make up for lost time.

Whatever was going on in Auradon, or with Uma's crew, it didn't matter.

At least, not until the physical tension had been broken between them, and they laid curled up in one another's arms. A comfort that had been sorely lacking for both of them lately.

"I missed you so much," Carlos sighed, burying his face in the crook of Harry's neck and breathing him in.

"I missed you too, pup," Harry whispered, combing his fingers through Carlos's hair. "I don't need a truth spell to tell you that. What are you taking magic like that for anyway?"

Carlos groaned against Harry's skin, knowing if he opened his mouth to speak then the whole embarrassing truth would come out.

But he'd always had trouble lying to Harry, even when magic wasn't involved.

"I took it so I could ask a girl out," he mumbled against Harry's neck.

Back at it again with my redesign and rewrite

Not my usual art style but I wanted a more cartoony look :p

For my rewrite, I want it to be more serious and the VKs to be genuinely evil. Evie is a manipulative girl who uses her looks and charms to manipulate boys. With girls, she's more mean, often making snide comments that she brushes off as her wanting to help them be prettier/better.

I also decided to rename her to Evelynn Grimhilde, it's a popular Victorian name that means desired and Evie is turned into a nickname instead
