For those of you who don’t follow McLaren’s socials. You think Ferrari are bad.

McLaren fans are out here calling their own team out for being toxic and disrespectful, even tagging sponsors of the team in posts.

How bad do you have to fuck up for that to happen?

What amazes me is. McLaren’s current head of comms, was head of comms at Williams before she swapped. Remember all the hate Claire Williams used to get?

Now at a point that McLaren are losing me. This year I’ve not bought any new merch. Yes I have enough but the idea of parting with money for it makes me feel uncomfortable.

Also, whilst I’m not at the point of completely unfollowing McLaren on socials I can actively choose not to engage with them.

This team currently doesn’t deserve my time or energy or cash. I think of the shit I have been through with this team over the decades now. Never been more disappointed than I am in them right now.

I understand 100% how Mark Priestly felt in 2007. I’m that angry I would happily see anyone but my team win.

It just got worse!!!

McLaren posting a selfie of the “team” taken by Oscar that completely obsures Lando. Complete disrespect.

The optics for McLaren are just getting worse by the hour post race.

1. Ted Kravitz seemingly implying that McLaren did everything to hinder Lando today, because he was told not to do anything risky that could mess up the 1-2. Going for a gap that was there is risky now?

2. We now find out that Oscar’s girlfriend is employed at McLaren. Now I have to say the minute I knew what her degree was and what she wanted to do, Oscar seemed a means to an end, but this is really icky. Yes Adam Norris’ company has endorsements with McLaren but that is business to business. Pretty sure Adam isn’t sleeping with a senior member of the team.

3. McLaren selling Miami Winner T-shirts for Oscar. When have they ever done that for any other driver? It’s not like Oscar doesn’t have his own website to sell merch.

4. Today Jochen Mass, one of only 22 drivers to ever win a race for McLaren has died. Radio silence from the team.

Honestly at this rate they will lose fans, sponsors, respect and credibility. Who the hell is steering this disaster show? They are letting their egos run away with them and it’s really sad to see.

Did Sky actually watch that race?

Max locked up into the first corner giving Lando all the space to have the corner. Going into the second corner they still had room, until Max’s car lost its rear end and moved toward Lando, giving Lando a choice, stay and be pushed into the wall or go off the track. No real intention to it. Apparently that was Lando taking unnecessary risks.

Max defends brilliantly and Oscar has no way past. Max locks up, Oscar gets past. Apparently that was Oscar’s superior race craft.

Lando takes the same number of laps to get past Max, Sky do admit that by now Max had perfected where to brake going into turn 1. Lando gets past, there is some confusion as to what happened as both of them were off the track, gives the place back and then gets past again. Apparently this shows Lando’s poor race craft in comparison.

Lando takes the gap between him and his teammate down by 6 seconds, apparently this shows Oscar’s superiority.

Rachel then asked Lando “there has to be a way past Max because Oscar did it”. Lando corrects her and reminds her “so did I”.

Rachel then asks Max “was he just doing anything he could to defend his position”. Max responds “what do you expect me to do”.

Now Ted is out here saying that McLaren had “a perfect weekend” when he spent all yesterday laying into them for not sticking it on pole. And is now claiming that Andrea Stella told Oscar and Lando “not to do anything that could throw this away”. Please see above for what happened in turns 1 and 2.

Did anyone else see this race that Sky believe Max, Lando and to some extent Oscar had, as I don’t recognise it.

Sadly the only one talking any sense is Danika, but we never take her seriously, so what use is that.

All I will say about that race is yes Lando was lucky, BUT sometimes in life you make your own luck. And today that’s exactly what Lando did. Chasing Oscar down to be sooooo close when Oscar pitted, and then going like the clappers on the next lap, gave him the opportunity to take advantage of the safety car.

From Oscar’s side, yes he will feel hard done to, but is it really worth getting that wound up over a single point?

However this is an example of what I’ve been saying about Oscar not capitalising. You are leading, you have first pitstop, don’t let your teammate get under half a second behind you.

Maybe just maybe the universe balancing the scales for the tow yesterday.

From the second Ferrari sent Charles out on inters to the fact half the grid could get a penalty post race. Shitshow!!!

So an act who made some of the best “I don’t give a fuck” anthems and the Daily Mail is shocked she doesn’t give a fuck about ageing. I think they misunderstood the assignment.
