My latest mix....

With the likes of Nina Kraviz and more recently Seth Troxler revealing all in the name of promotion, many have began to ask the question “Does talent even matter anymore?” Sure it’s pleasurable to hear a mix that strings a few tunes together, or one that even takes you on a musical journey, but at the end of the day, who cares right? We are in the selfie generation after all; sex and self-image is what’s important!

It’s with this sentiment that Naise commissioned renowned photographer Sameoel Olivera for an exposé photo-shoot aimed poke fun at the current state of times, whilst being grounded in her favorite condiment – a jar of Mayonnaise.

The mixtape itself sees Naise skillfully explore different tempos, genres and eras of dance music, whilst also highlighting the real “Melbourne Sound” with noteworthy appearances from the likes of Inkswel, Ben Houghton, Fantastic Man and Donalds House. With some of the tracks in this mix being over 20 years of age, Naise’s mixtape highlights how by digging through the past one can find music that is just as relevant today, as the day it was first produced.
