Dear God of My Praise,
I lift up Your name and praise You this day,
Today and everyday are the days that You have made...
This is the day the LORD has made;We will rejoice and be glad in it.Psalm 118:24
You are the mighty God, creator of the universe, lover of mankind, sustainer of all, most magnificent and awesome father, most caring and devoted nurturer, most powerful, all-knowing and ever-present.
How can I even count the ways that You are worthy of my praise?
Thank You for Your gifts of love and life.
Thank You for Your promise of eternal life with You through Your righteous Son Jesus Christ.
Thank You for Jesus my Savior and for Your Holy Spirit who convicts and seals and guides me each day.
Thank You for Your Word, The Bible, which illuminates, instructs, and leads me.
I am grateful for who You are, all that You do and all that You will do.
In the beautiful name of Jesus I humbly come before You,
Amen. 🙏🏾❤️
I have been here before !??🥹🤔🙏🏾❤️
Sudden Light
BY DANTE GABRIEL ROSSETTI
I have been here before,
But when or how I cannot tell:
I know the grass beyond the door,
The sweet keen smell,
The sighing sound, the lights around the shore.
You have been mine before,—
How long ago I may not know:
But just when at that swallow's soar
Your neck turn'd so,
Some veil did fall,—I knew it all of yore.
Has this been thus before?
And shall not thus time's eddying flight
Still with our lives our love restore
In death's despite,
And day and night yield one delight once more?
Break Down …
Sudden Light by Dante Gabriel Rossetti
‘Sudden Light’ by Dante Gabriel Rossetti describes a speaker’s moments of recollection when faced with an emotional scene involving someone he loves.
The sights, sounds, and smells of the scene reminded of something he can’t quite place. He comes to the conclusion that he has lived this moment before alongside the intended listener of ‘Sudden Light’.
In the second stanza, he describes two moments that happen simultaneously. These are the flight of a swallow and the turning of his listener’s neck. They confirm to him that yes, he has seen these sights and felt these same feelings before.
In the final lines, he turns to his listener and asks, mostly rhetorically, if it is possible for their love to overcome death. He feels the two have a connection that could last beyond day and night, or life and death.

Dear Father God,
Please help me to develop a greater thirst for You.
Please give me a hunger for Your daily Manna bread.
Please increase my desire to spend time with You today...
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8
Please make me more aware of Your presence with me at all times.
Here I am today, to bow down and to worship You...
Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. Psalm 96:6
May I tell others today that You are my God, my deliverer, my hope, and my future.
May I remember Your love for me today.
May I draw closer to You today and every day.
In the abundant name of Jesus I pray,
Amen.

Dear Father God,
Thank You for opening Your arms and welcoming me to come to You, to find forgiveness in You, to find rest in You, to find freedom in You, to have abundant life in You.
I cry out to You now for those who are heavy on my heart.
I pray for those who are going through the fire and those who are going through the valleys.
I pray for those who face difficulties and those who have come through trials and are triumphant because of You.
Today I lift up in prayer those who are battling health issues as well as those who are facing job loss and financial challenges.
I pray for Your grace and mercy, Your peace and love, Your hand upon each of their lives.
I pray for miracles and healings.
Let them know you as their Good Shepherd...
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. Psalm 23
I pray that all who are weary will cry out to You and trust You.
And I thank You for all that You have done and all that You will do.
Thank You for hearing my prayers and for Your answers to my prayers today and in the future.
May Your works and miracles in my life be a witness to others that You are God.
In the powerful name of Jesus I pray,
Amen.

Emily Brontë, the poet of ‘At Castle Wood’, has been a widely renowned poet almost since she began writing poetry; her contributions to English literature are famous. She also famously led a very difficult life, one that was rife with misfortunes and tragedies that would undoubtedly have been very difficult for the young woman to deal with. In many ways, her writing style reflects many of the difficulties she endured in her life, and gives her present-day readers insight into the ways her hardships affected her personally. ‘At Castle Wood’is one such poem, a moving piece that invokes depression in a way that sets Brontë apart from so many other artists of her field.
At Castle Wood
The day is done, the winter sun Is setting in its sullen sky; And drear the course that has been run, And dim the hearts that slowly die. No star will light my coming night; No morn of hope for me will shine; I mourn not heaven would blast my sight, And I ne'er longed for joys divine. Through life's hard task I did not ask Celestial aid, celestial cheer; I saw my fate without its mask, And met it too without a tear. The grief that pressed my aching breast Was heavier far than earth can be; And who would dread eternal rest When labour's hour was agony? Dark falls the fear of this despair On spirits born of happiness; But I was bred the mate of care, The foster-child of sore distress. No sighs for me, no sympathy, No wish to keep my soul below; The heart is dead in infancy, Unwept-for let the body go.

In the Gospel of Luke, we are told that during Our Blessed Lord’s crucifixion, there were two other men suffering the same death, one to either side of Him. The one to Christ’s right has become known as the Good Thief,” while the one to His left is referred to as the “Unrepentant Thief.”
While the Gospels do not mention specific names, tradition tells us the Good Thief was named Saint Dismas, and the Unrepentant Thief, Gestas.
While both men were suffering the same gruesome execution and were both in the presence of Christ, their reactions to their situation are quite different. Gestas reviles Our Lord and says, “Are You not the Messiah? Save Yourself and us.” (Lk. 23:39) Gestas asks to come down from his cross.
But Dismas does not ask to be taken down. Dismas rebukes Gestas and proclaims Christ’s innocence, and in one of the most startling and beautiful moments of the Gospel, does not ask to be taken down from his sure and painful death. He asks, instead, to be taken up with Christ, saying “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” (Lk 23:42). Jesus replies to Saint Dismas saying, “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
This is the lesson of Saint Dismas, who accepted his cross, and placed his hope not in this world, but in the promise of the next. Which of these two are you? Do wish to come down from your cross and continue to be of this earth, or do you wish to accept your cross and be taken up to Christ in the life to come?

The Lady of the Lake (French: Dame du Lac, Demoiselle du Lac, Welsh: Arglwyddes y Llyn, Cornish: Arloedhes an Lynn, Breton: Itron an Lenn, Italian: Dama del Lago) is a name or a title used by several fairy-like enchantresses in the Matter of Britain, the body of medieval literature and mythology associated with the legend of King Arthur. They play pivotal roles in many stories, including providing Arthur with the sword Excalibur, eliminating Merlin, raising Lancelot after the death of his father, and helping to take the dying Arthur to Avalon.

Under African Skies In this short song-- two verses, one chorus-- Simon pays tribute to two remarkable singers. The first is the man who started, and still leads, the South African chorus Ladysmith Black Mambazo. His name is Joseph Shabalala (accent on the first "la"). The verse, however, reveals precious little. We learn only that he is "black" and "African," and we might infer from the mention of the "moon" and "stars" that he liked to take walks at night. The second verse seems to refer to Linda Ronstadt, a powerful singer with an enormous range, both vocally and genre-wise. As the song correctly reports, Ronstadt is from "Tucson, Arizona."

William Wordsworth
1770-1850 • Ranked #10 in the top 500 poets
‘The stars are mansions built by Nature’s hand’
‘The stars are mansions built by Nature’s hand’ is not one of the most famous poems by William Wordsworth (1770-1850), nor even one of his more famous sonnets. But it’s a fine poem about the stars, which manages to touch upon the natural world (as we’d expect from a poem by a leading Romantic poet) as well as the divine.
The stars are mansions built by Nature’s hand, And, haply, there the spirits of the blest Dwell, clothed in radiance, their immortal vest; Huge Ocean shows, within his yellow strand, A habitation marvellously planned, For life to occupy in love and rest; All that we see – is dome, or vault, or nest, Or fortress, reared at Nature’s sage command. Glad thought for every season! but the Spring Gave it while cares were weighing on my heart, ’Mid song of birds, and insects murmuring; And while the youthful year’s prolific art – Of bud, leaf, blade, and flower – was fashioning Abodes where self-disturbance hath no part.

God is Crying!?
Hebrews 5:7-10
The Message
7-10 While he lived on earth, anticipating death, Jesus cried out in pain and wept in sorrow as he offered up priestly prayers to God. Because he honored God, God answered him. Though he was God’s Son, he learned trusting-obedience by what he suffered, just as we do. Then, having arrived at the full stature of his maturity and having been announced by God as high priest in the order of Melchizedek, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who believingly obey him.
John 11:35
The Message
33-34 When Jesus saw her sobbing and the Jews with her sobbing, a deep anger welled up within him. He said, “Where did you put him?”
34-35 “Master, come and see,” they said. Now Jesus wept.
The High Priest Who Cried Out in Pain
14-16 Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.
Original Reading from: Enjoying The Journey Daily Podcast
I asked the Lord to give me love - His love for souls in sin; Instead He gave me weeping eyes, A broken heart within. I asked Him why He gave me tears, He took me back in time To when my Savior lived on earth, When He was in His prime. I saw Him go to where His friend Was lying in a grave; The sisters and their friends were grieved - What love to them He gave. You see my Savior standing there Was also grieved that day, He wept great heaving tears with sobs Till those who saw could say: "Behold we see now how He loved." His tears revealed His heart His love was evident through tears - I saw God's point in part. And then He took me to the day The people hailed their King While Jesus enters to their cheers The children run and sing. But when He saw Jerusalem Stretched out before His eye, His soul was moved with grief for them; It moved His heart to cry. Oh, as I read those solemn words I feel that they are sweet For in them I behold His love So perfect and complete. To one more place He took me now, At midnight I beheld The Son of God bowed down with grief In deepest sorrow held. I heard His weeping, strong and deep, But through it I discerned He prayed for me - it melted me, His love for me I learned. With tearful joy I thanked the Lord For answering my prayer, For giving me His love for souls - His tears, His heart, His care.
