After a long and gruelling battle with the powers that be, the DK Vine Tumblar is proud to announce that our Klump post, which contains an official Nintendo-owned render of the classic Donkey Kong baddie, has been reinstated. If you find yourself in need of access to this render while away from any reliable source of electricity, it can be found on Page 29 of the Donkey Kong Country manual.

Read your video game credits.  You never know when you’re gonna encounter stuff like, say, current President & CEO of Retro Studios Michael Kelbaugh credited as a voice actor in Blast Corps.

Friend-of-the-Site Josh brings us another episode of The Geek Critique, analyzing Donkey Kong’s initial console gaming outings following the buyout of Rare in 2002.  DK Vine site founders Chad and Hyle also stop by to...well I don’t know if “assist” would be the right word...

Left: Dippy the Diplodocus from Banjo-Tooie, who appears only in cutscenes. Right: The texture used for the underside of Dippy’s tongue. Let it not be said that the Banjo team wasn’t thorough.
