JK Rowling will die alone in that castle of hers, surrounded by no one. sure, she'll get a few days of attention and Harry Potter will be popular for a bit, but by the end of the month everyone will have moved on. she won't be remembered as a visionary who wrote a popular book series 20 years ago, she'll be remembered as a bigot who put down trans women and other cis women for the sake of some "agenda". She isn't a feminist. She's a bigot grafting the skin of an actually helpful political movement onto herself to pretend she cares about women.

Trans people, keep going. We'll outlive her. this law will get overturned. we have to keep moving forward

These are dark days for the LGBT community here in the UK.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If for some reason you’re not prepared to stand up for the sake of trans people, then at the very least do it for your own. Because this Supreme Court decision will have ripple effects on other communities. Because it always does. They never stop at just one group of people. If the rights of one group are questioned, then everyone’s rights can be questioned. Gay. Straight. Black. White. Cis. We’re all vulnerable. Unless you fit a very specific criteria of what “normal” is, they will eventually come for you too. They always do.

ok, for those of you who don't know, jk rowljng donated £70k to an organisation of Scottish women who wanted the legal definition of a woman to be based on biological sex alone in the uk. today they had this ruled for in court.

the legal definition of a woman in the uk is now based purely on biological sex, likely preventing trans people from changing their sex on legal documents. we are still apparently protected from discrimination though.

the worst part of this is that news reports have been treating this as a good thing. jk rowling is painted as an amazing person in school assemblies. after doing not only what she does on twitter, but actively funding the discrimination of trans people.

I am a woman, legally or not. i am a lesbian, legally or not. I will not have my sense of self removed by some rich mold riddled children's author or the supreme court.

typically, i don’t plan birthday comics. they’re just another day to me - however, 21 is a milestone, or so they say. and i’ve got a great birthday week planned ahead - drinks with family and seeing ghost live in concert are only the taste of it!

mentally, i was at a dark place in 2021. i was in my final year of school, and it was hell there, and i didn’t know if i would see the light at the end of the tunnel… all the while hiding my feminine side from everyone, even those i trusted. but i got out of there, and it was elating. and i found multiple supportive environments in regards to me being trans, both on and offline!

to those that still know and love me irl: im grateful for all of you. i know it seems like 21 didn’t take long - hell, i’ve noticed life went by quick - but you’ve seen me progress into the strong, resilient, more confident person i am now. there’s still room for growth, don’t get me wrong, but i’m a much better person now than i was at 17.

to those that know and love me online: im grateful for all of you too. being trans led me to a community where people who like to draw share their experiences, and although they’re individual to another, they’re still relatable. and they’re all so accepting!! just… don’t really expect a chaotic meetup, because despite being a gremlin online, i’m wayyy more introverted irl 😅
