I’m curious about something:

I’m curious about this because my players spared Doru and he went on to live the whole campaign, eventually becoming a free vampire. But in my best friend’s Curse of Strahd campaign (who was a player in mine) they killed Doru. I think that most people probably killed him, but wanted some info. I have a feeling the results might be skewed away from killing him here, but I could be wrong.

I’ve known this for a while, but it’s still very strange to me that one of my friends/players has been fake dating/been engaged to my version of Ismark Kolyanovich longer than they’ve been dating their actual, real life, flesh and blood fiancé.

Fighting for my fuckin life last night, power flickering on and off from high winds, cutting out my wifi and loading slow, as I’m just. Trying to get through this mystery “who’s a traitor” plot I did for the Feywild… and somehow, the wifi came on just long enough at the end for me to finish my narration and leave everyone on a cliffhanger. W session, everyone loved it.

Oh boy, I sure do love running two campaigns in two different systems (weekly DnD and monthly Monster of the Week) and having about 11ish ideas for my next campaign. It sure is great when I’m not even halfway through DnD and am hardly into the MOTW one. /s.

Genuinely, I do plan on pitching 3-5 of my more developed ideas (and tbf two are modules I’d like to run) when it’s time for a new campaign to be planned and having my players rank them so it’s not all on me to choose. But still having these ideas is weird/hard cause I feel the need to start something new and accidentally overwhelm myself again lol.

one of the worst things about being a writer is when you have to sit on your hands about a REALLY COOL SPOILER. and you just want everyone to know about the really cool spoiler you want them to know so so so badly but the best way for them to learn it would be to experience it and you also want them to do THAT so you’re just sitting on your hands vibrating and making a low whine while your dog looks at you with concern. and then your friends go “what’s wrong”. and you go PLEASE I NEED TO TELL YOU. and they go “oh okay so tell me”. and you go NO,

Lord help me I’m having new campaign ideas and the new one that’s gonna happen doesn’t even start till Saturday

Y’all ever have a “oh this campaign is cooked” moment in real time? Like something happens and you just know that it’s not gonna last or end well?

Cause I just did. And it’s interesting for sure. Adding another player when there’s already a lot of scheduling issues will do that.

Finished Curse of Strahd. I have a lot of thoughts on how I’d run it a second time and things I’d fix. But overall it was a really fun campaign! I’m glad it was completed. And of course without an excellent party it would not have lasted 9 months, fighting on and off in person and online sessions, jobs, job switches, 2 senior recitals, an internship, a practicum, and a three week trip to the United Kingdom. It was a great group and I look forward to playing with all of them in other games one day and having a mini sequel arc in Barovia eventually!

So glad I went and checked in on my one player’s lore document cause I had to go and change the last name of a very vital and important antagonist connected to her backstory because of it

Resisting the urge to message my players and go “Hey guys! Which layer of the horrible horrible Abyss sounds the most fun? Terrible jungle? Slime pits? Demon spiders? Big maze? :D”

Me: Hm. There’s this archfey that’s been missing for like. A thousand years. And his followers don’t know where he went. Something definitely happened to him tho and he’s missing. Where is he?

Me: What if his half sister tossed him into the Abyss? Just chucked him down there?
