Quick Tips for your pets care

Like most people, I'm terrified to cut my dog's nails. I'm just so glad that the professionals know what they are doing so my little ones do not get hurt. Groomers are educated about how close is too close when it comes to trimming nails so they don’t cut their quick. A dog’s quick is located in the center of their nails. This is the area that blood comes out of when their nails are cut too short. If dogs are regularly taken in for nail trims, the groomer can find where the quick is easier and are able to avoid it better. Depending on how the dog acts, the dog should be good to go in no time. But when owners let their dog’s nails grow and grow for months, not only could the nail get to the point it digs into the poor baby's pad, but the quick also grows. It makes a groomer's job harder when they are trying to find the quick. Sometimes they can misjudge and clip the quick, but thankfully there is a powder they have on their shelves called ‘Quick Stop.’ It is meant to stop the bleeding so it doesn't continue to hurt. I think of it like this, I don’t like when my nails get too long, so pets probably don’t either and they can’t tell us.

Coronado Pet Shoppe

I worked at coronado pet shoppe in late 2020 and i want to share my experience when i worked their and share whats happening now a-days do to my inform-it.

Theirs drama everywhere. like this time that a was talking to one of the groomers about a dog that had come in. She was telling me she could tell that the dog was bathed at home do to the severity of the mats the dog had. Mats for people who are curious are clumps of fur that will not come undone without almost tearing the dogs skin and hurting the pet. I took this to heart knowing that if my little guys not being treated right he could get seriously hurt.
