Lynx CBD Considering Bid For Naming Rights To Iconic Mile High Stadium
Denver, CO – Sources close to the Colorado based CBD company told Doapbox Cannabis News that they were considering a bid for the naming rights on Denver’s iconic Mile High Stadium. Sports Authority, the defunct sporting goods stores signage remained prominent on the stadiums exterior for more than two years, until early 2018. During that time at least one other Cannabis related company made a bid for the naming rights. That bid was denied for undisclosed reasons.
Colorado has become the poster-child for the Cannabis business, generating over 2.4 billion dollars in economic stimulus since its legalization in 2014. As Colorado becomes known for “pot” it makes sense that a Cannabis related business would want a shot to be associated with the states biggest sports draw. When Sports Authority closed its doors before the 2016-2017 season it left many fans wondering how they should refer to the stadium.
Lynx CBD hopes that the therapeutic nature of CBD Oil will help give them a leg up in the bidding process. Recently, one of the largest Cannabis dispensaries in Colorado also made a bid for the naming rights. The speculation surrounding that deal was that the team did not want to be associated with the recreational side of the Cannabis business, and the deal fell through.
According to Lynx CBD representatives, the NFL’s position on CBD product usage amongst players appears to be relaxing. Past NFL players, including former Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer, have openly praised the neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory qualities of CBD. At the same time, major pharmaceutical companies are actively studying the non-psychoactive compounds role in CTE. Though not openly engaged, the NFL is sure to watch the results of the studies carefully. If the results are conclusive and positive, it might be a wise public relations move to allow Lynx CBD the naming rights.
It’s yet to be seen how fans will react if a Cannabis related business secures naming rights, but whatever company finds their way onto the Denver Skylines signage, they’d be wise to retain the “Mile High” nomenclature.

Incidents like these highlight the need for responsible cannabis use and sales. The medicinal and therapeutic properties of CBD are well documented, as are the pitfalls of their synthetic counterparts. As more people turn to the benefits of CBD, there needs to be safe access for consumers.

Can I use CBD on my pets?
CBD products are widely known for their use on humans, but hemp extracted CBD for pets is rising in popularity. If you are interested in this topic, you probably know that CBD can be used for pets in the same ways it can be used for humans. Check out the following post to learn more about CBD products, how they interact with your pet, and how to choose the best product for your canine or feline companion.
Hemp Derived CBD Products
The Cannabis Sativa plant from which Hemp shares its genus and species contains over 100 compounds, 66 of which are considered Cannabinoids. Cannabis, or Marijuana, is typically known for the THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) compound. THC is the psychoactive compound that is responsible for the “high” experienced from smoking pot. CBD on the other hand is non-psychoactive and does not give users a high. This is an important distinction, because THC can be dangerous for animals. Many Colorado veterinarians have reported an increase in severely intoxicated pets, especially since cannabis legalization. Although possibly lethal, “pot-poisoned” pets tend to exhibit more of the negative side-effects related to THC; including fear, paranoia, anxiety, and dry-mouth.
In contrast, CBD does not produce most of the negative side-effects associated with THC, but does exhibit many of the benefits. Some rarely reported downsides to CBD in pets are an increase in appetite, lethargy, and dry-mouth. Those minor pitfalls have not prevented increased veterinary study of how Cannabinoids interact with animals. To better understand why pet owners are turning to CBD, let’s take a look at the endocannabinoid system of our pets and see how CBD interacts with it.
The Endocannabinoid System of Dogs and Cats
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is important for executing numerous physiological functions. Some of those regulated functions include:
Appetite
Anxiety and mood
Memory and cognitive abilities
Sleep and energy
Pain perception
The ECS’s main function is to regulate homeostasis by managing the stress response-system of the body. The ECS cannabinoid receptors discovered in humans, also exists in our four legged friends. This complex system is as critical to our lives as it is to our pets.
Endocannabinoids are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in cats and dogs. These neurotransmitters are produced naturally in many ways, including the consumptions of certain fats and oils. One of the most crucial fatty acids for cats and dogs are linolenic acid (ALA), found abundantly in Flaxseed Oil. Cannabinoid molecules also bind to these receptors causing different effects on your pets body; benefiting your pets endocannabinoid system and the functions it manages.
The science of CBD for your pets
Although scientific research is being performed on the veterinary uses for CBD and other Cannabinoids, we are unable to share any medical claims. We recommend exploring the findings of Clinical Sciences researcher Dr. McGrath of The University of Colorado and her findings about Cannabidiol during her veterinary research. Also consider The American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association survey comprised of 1201 respondents. The survey found that:
36.5% of respondents currently use CBD products on their dog or cat
10.1% of respondents have used CBD products on their dog or cat in the past
Additionally, 4,628 pet owners were surveyed about CBD use on their pets. Owners were asked whether they perceived any benefits from the CBD products used on their cat or dog. Overall, 13.8% reported they perceived the product to have “helped a great deal,” while only 8.7% perceived no impact. The survey encompassed 15 different symptoms, of which 13 symptoms included pet owners who reported at least a “little” help with the symptoms monitored.
Despite some positive research findings, many veterinarians are hesitant to applaud CBD products because of the limited body of evidence. However, the known ECS link between humans and animals means a logical inference can be made that CBD can be leveraged in the same ways it can be for humans. Research is beginning to support that hypothesis and we encourage you to seek out these clinical findings. In the meantime, Lynx CBD will continue to bring you the best, and most up-to-date, information we can abiding by the restrictions of our industry.

Does CBD help inflammation?
We’ve all experienced inflammation at some point in our lives, usually as the result of injury, infection, or illness. Characterized by redness, swelling, pain, and/or being hot to the touch; inflammation can be a hindrance to your daily life. The characteristics of inflammation tend to bring with it reduced or limited mobility, despite the fact that inflammatory response is a natural defense mechanism to promote healing.
Although a natural response, chronic inflammation brings with it an altogether different concern. Prolonged swelling of the body can result in an increased likelihood of contracting certain diseases, such as cancers and arthritis. This chronic inflammatory response indicates an atypical reaction from the body, and reveals the body’s immune system to be operating unnaturally or inefficiently. By contrast, acute inflammation is a sign that the body's immune system is operating as expected by promoting the natural healing process.
What does this mean for CBD?
Much focus has been put on the study of CBD and its potential in the medical field. In 2012 the “Journal of Experimental Medicine found that CBD significantly suppressed chronic inflammatory and neuropathic pain.” However, physical pain and mobility is not the extent by which inflammation can impact you. Studies indicate that swelling of the brain may contribute, or cause, psychosis and that the possible anti-inflammatory properties of CBD could be a catalyst for treatment. Mental disorders are just the tip of the iceberg. Chronic Inflammation is being researched in relation to diseases such as multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, alzheimer's, and diabetes.
No undeniable, or indisputable, proof has been made available to the public indicating that CBD is a cure all for the aforementioned ailments. However, promising results have given researchers new hope for providing better treatment to those suffering from a multitude of diseases. Whether CBD will be the miracle drug the world needs, or the gateway to a miracle drug, has yet to be determined; but with the right funding the world can be one step closer to finding out. Consider supporting companies who are willing to go against the grain and research natural cures, instead of pharmaceutical giants; or supporting companies like Lynx CBD who use the sale of their CBD products to make donations to research foundations in the name of progress.

A CBD Company Is Letting Their Customers Fund Research and Awareness
A Colorado based CBD company is giving their customers a unique way to help fund the research and awareness of multiple charities. With each sale, customers have a choice of which research organization Lynx CBD will make a charitable donation to. Who knows better than CBD users where to allocate money for research?
Lynx CBD would like to see Cannabinoids studied further and hopefully approved by the FDA, but regardless of organizational focus, they want to advance the research and awareness of disorders and diseases that impact the world. Despite promising research results, the FDA still prohibits CBD companies from making medical claims, or recommending dosages that support CBD. This puts all CBD companies in the precarious situation of selling a product, but being unable to tell potential users how or why to use it. Even testimonials on CBD sites must have the ailments censored, so as not to resemble medical advice or dosage recommendations. Luckily there are non-profit organizations like Society of Cannabis Clinicians and Project CBD that focus on research, awareness, and education; so potential users can learn more. As with all sciences, these outlets are not without flaws and their results should be scrutinized and retested like any other research findings.
One problem with CBD research is that although the FDA supports clinical research of cannabis and its derivatives, other vital government agencies are refusing to study the effects. The Department of Veteran Affairs claims they are legally unable to conduct such research, or to “refer veterans to such projects.” It’s unfortunate that such influential organizations are being stonewalled by close minded bureaucrats stuck in their “reefer madness” mentality. With such impactful organizations sidelining themselves, its up to smaller, and more specialized, organizations to pick up their slack. That is precisely why Lynx CBD allowed their customers to have a choice in how research funding is distributed.
Here is how it works:
Select your favorite CBD products from Lynxcbd.com
At checkout, select the cause you want to support
Lynx CBD donates $1 from your purchase to the cause you’ve selected
Your Lynx CBD products are shipped to your doorstep
You support advances research and awareness
It’s truly that simple. While the causes available to support will change periodically, the objective remains the same; to provide their customers with high-quality CBD and contribute to the causes their customers find most beneficial. Despite the hope surrounding CBD research, there’s no guarantee donations will directly result in CBD research. However, customers can be confident that their purchases will directly benefit the best and brightest minds researching the causes they choose.
Check out the Lynx CBD website to find out which causes they’re currently supporting.
