Heyy so this was a little project I made for art school, it turned out cute so I thought I'd post it here :3. The concept/inspiration was, clearly, the old jfashion magazines, its for the aesthetics subject so I used Friedrich Hegel's definition of aesthetic as my starting point. I was debating on doing all the text in japanese or in English or in Spanish, ended up doing it in English and only some things in Japanese cuz I didn't want it to be all wrong translations, not that my teacher knows japanese or anything BAHAHA.

New skirt! yay! It was so fun to design and kind of a pain to make, but very much worth it cuz it's so cute. The curved edges were surprisingly easy to sew and I'm very proud of the partial shirring, never gonna use zippers again thank you (and we're gonna ignore I haven't made the bow, I just wanted to post this asap HAHAH) so yeah, I'll soon post a photo of the two coords I've completed sewing so far! :3

I've started to make my own clothes and I'd like to sell them in future — I think it's a nice touch so I hope you don't mind sharing >__<!

Not at all !! so I bought a cotton twill tape roll on Amazon, it's a less than an inch of width, enough to draw the logo, and it's like 50 meters long, I draw the dollomite name on it by hand on each one, which isn't super convenient but my plan is getting a custom rubber stamp thingy w the name so it's easier n faster to do (⁠ ⁠ꈍ⁠ᴗ⁠ꈍ⁠)

Where do you buy your lace?

Hii! for my head dresses I use mostly lace from up cycled clothes, I use the lace and the fabric separately, but I've also bought some packages of like 12 or smth lace rolls off of Amazon, tho to be honest it's not as much difference as if I bought meters of lace from a craft store, so yeah, sorry if it's a pretty vague answer but that's kind of it HAHAHAAH

EGL 2025 year resolution:

ACTUALLY wear EGL after 5 years of quietly being a fan and admiring from a distance BAHAHAHA.

I've been SO obsessed with EGL fashion since I was in elementary school, mind u I'm almost in uni and I've never ever actually worn a coord 😶‍🌫️, I just see all the magazines and follow so many beautiful lolitas and admire from a distance LOL but well, now I know how to sew and I can just make my own coords so, if I don't start doing so now that I still have time to, I'll probably never will.

Just two days in 2025 I made an attempt at a Lolita blouse w a regular shirt and this bonett that gave me an unnecessarily hard time but it's cute so let's fucking go I guess??? I followed this tutorial for the bonett btw.

I've made up my mind to start with headpieces and wrist cuffs, then I'll make an actual JSK :3! Lately I've been really into the old school gothic lolita so I'm probably gonna make my first coord smth like that, we'll see how it goes ⊙⁠﹏⁠⊙

Hot take on cutecore

no one asked for but I can't stop thinking about

I have this wild THEORY (keyword: theory) that "cutecore" wouldn't exist if a lot of us western people hadn't changed the connnotation of the word kawaii into something considered cringe mostly because of it being foreign, and y'know I'm just based on my experiences having been deep into this niche on the internet for so long, I believe "cutecore" is more the attempt of whitewashing the kawaii name cuz NOW more western people are starting to like the styles but they can't take them seriously if they go by a name they've ruined for themselves. I mean I dunno maybe I'm overthinking it? I'd still love it if more people recognized that "cutecore" is just kawaii.
