Stalker.
Truly, I believe this is a matter better put to rest. For everyone's sake. I am true to my word when I say Venn's death presents nothing but a relief and is in no aspect unfortunate.
Regards,
Domino
Hey. It’s been awhile. A lot has happened. I’m not sure how to even start with all of it. Not sure I even should, really.
Anyhow. I know most of us are Detectives. I know my offer is really late, and I’m sorry. But if anyone needs to talk about anything, relating to the end of our case or not, I’m here :)
Which leads me into the reason I’m writing this letter, other than to establish I’m not dead. Does anyone know where their Jake is? Or what happened to him? I’ve been trying to look, but I don’t have any leads. Other than the mines, but I haven’t found much there yet
Oh, whoops, there might be new people reading this. Crash course: supernatural things exist, I’m a version of the amateur detective whose “phone number” was sent to Thomas in the Duskwood case, I say “a version” because alternate universes exist and this letter exchange goes to quite a few people and universes, call me Yu, I have a “twin” nicknamed Troublemaker, yes those are nicknames and not our real names because almost no one here uses real names, and this letter has been sent to who knows how many other people too, most of them in the same position as us or at least having some connection to the Duskwood case.
I’ll try to catch anyone new up in further detail on request.
Quick updates on situations for people who have been following for longer: Venn is dead. Flower is alive again for some reason. There’s a new ruthless killer entity running around, who doesn’t have a name I know of but is usually called “that child” or “The Child”. Don’t be fooled by the name, she’s bad news. Inky’s… changed. Not as cruel, at least to us. There’s so many other things, but I don’t even know where to start with all of them, so I guess I’ll leave it at that for now.
Despite everything, it’s oddly nice to be writing again. Though I gotta wonder if anyone’s going to respond this time.
Anyhow. Bye for now :)
—Yu

[A dark chuckle.]
Oh? And where are we?
[A videotape appears. It seems like the first-person view of an animal of some sort.]
A woman with shoulder-length, slightly wavy hair is visible. She's on the ground, a pink-greenish line or bond coming out of her. It seems to be made of mist.
The "camera" pans down to what seems to be the paw of a mountain lion on the bond. Claws dig into the misty bond, a faint yelp audible as the lion yanks the woman closer to itself.
Something happens. It's not clear what but it makes the mountain lion recoil and hiss in pain. It bites into the bond, and the woman goes limp. Reality bends and screeches.
[The tape ends.]
My thanks for the kind donation, Yu! Troublemaker, you coward runner! I will make sure to let the sweet keep just enough of her blood to survive. At least until she served her purpose and becomes disposable.

Or what?

[Something about this paper feels horribly ill. Why is it here? Why does it feel horribly familiar to some, yet entirely foreign?]

[A white liquid drips from the letter. It has the consistency of blood.]
Are you still trying to warn them? My my, how sweet you are!
I admit, I liked you better eight hundred and one years ago.
[There's a muffled sound. A beginning of a scream before everything is mute. It's impossible if the scream stemmed from pain, fury, or something else.]

Note
[A white liquid drips onto the ground. It might be blood, at least it has the consistency of it.]
What were you trying here, darling?
[Was this letter even supposed to be sent? Is it even supposed to exist?]
[The envelope is empty. There is some blood trickling from a corner. For a moment, you could've sworn that the crimson color was surrounded by a pink and green shine.]
Well. This is new.
I can't really respond to this very well unless I know if it's a threat, a message, a request for help, or something else.
I'm guessing you either can't or won't clarify, though.
Just. Remember what this exchange is, alright? No matter your intentions, good, bad, both, or neither, it probably would be good to keep in mind what this exchange really was made to be in the first place.

You are correct. Everyone slips up. And so will you, eventually.

Dear Diary,
Many things occurred during your absence. A lot of new entities stepped into the light, whereas another, quite thankfully, is now another resident in hell.
Venn, an entity that used to be based around acidity and abandonment, has been killed. He had been targetting Troublemaker and Yu for a long while. Did I even get to tell you about them? Or him?
Unfortunately, shortly after Venn’s death, a new entity appeared. [scribbled out]
My pardon for the untidiness. I am fairly uncertain how to organize this entry.
During the course of previous events, a child stranded at the cottage the twins and I were housing in. We took her in. I admit... [sribbled out] No. This is too personal and delicate.
I will return to you later. I will go ahead and attempt to collect my thoughts, so I do not ruin your pages further.
12th August 2022
...It really has been almost a year, huh?

[Harshly scribbled out name], You have one chance to turn these things right.

...That's weird. Thank you for making me aware. I'll try to look into the matter of what that entity means, and why exactly he decided to appear.

Hello, Yu.
It's been a while since the last letters.
It might be also important to mention the presence of a new entity. "Chaos".
As for Flower. That. May have been my
[Clover's words seem to get swallowed into the paper.]
Its fault.
[The letter continues as usual. Clover seems unaware.]
Flower is behaving... a bit oddly. To say the least. I would still advice caution with her.
Farewell for now, Yu. Stay safe.

[This memory is just an hour old. You feel like it wasn't for anyone to see.]
*Clover stands like frozen for a very long time. Eventually, she makes her way to Flower's corpse slowly.*
*She looks at Flower's corpse silently for a very long time, silent tears dripping down her face like cascades. The guilt and regret is unbearing, and yet Clover can't make herself look away. She summons four flowers: a white lily to respect Flower's being and who she was, a white rose for purity, a purple hyacinth to symbolize Clover's regret and as a form of silent apology, and a gladiolus to express honor, although it could be taken as strength as well.*
*Another long time passes. It's probably been about half an hour by now. Clover sheds fewer tears but is still crying silently. Her eyes already hurt and her cheeks burn from the dried tearstains.*
*She musters the courage to look at Flower's face. Her heart wrenches.*
"...Farewell, Flower. May you rest quietly and undisturbed."
