DO YOU EVER THINK ABOUT THIS?
THE REASON THE WARSAW GHETTO DOES NOT HAVE ANY DEFENSE OR SECURITY SYSTEMS IN PLACE IS SIMPLY BECAUSE IT DOES NOT NEED IT.
THE REASON BERLIN AND CITIES ACROSS THE REICH HAVE FLAK TOWERS IN EVERY NEIGHBOURHOOD IS BECAUSE WITHOUT THEM THE GERMAN VOLK WOULD BE TERROR BOMBED BY THE COWARDLY BRITISH AND AMERICANS.

Found a fascist schizoposter blog whose thing is posting about how cute Hirohito was in between talking about how believing in Jesus will save you from nuclear armageddon and how Wi-Fi prevents you from dreaming. Which, okay, that's a new one. Man I really hate these fuckin' Nazis zoomers. They're so goddamned pathetic.

Laying down on the office couch and watching the short-lived '90s sci-fi show Earth 2. I distantly remember it from childhood, we had a VHS tape on which we had taped the premiere followed by the episode "The Pegasus" of ST:TNG. It's not bad, it's a neat premise, some of the speculative stuff feels very much of the '90s (Gaia theory, psychic phenomena, etc.), and hey that's Clancy Brown! I like Clancy Brown. The special effects are legitimately impressive and hold up a hell of a lot better than comparable 90s sci-fi TV shows (e.g. Space: Above and Beyond, Babylon 5, Farscape). There's some really fantastic practical effects and creature design, but I'd expect that from Amblin and ILM. You can tell it was shot on 35mm too, it must've been absurdly expensive to make, so I'm not surprised it only lasted a season.
It's also kind of hilarious that no one, and I mean no one, saw flat screen displays coming.

Emmanuelle in Space is an American erotic science-fiction television series produced for cable and syndication in 1994. It is loosely based upon the character Emmanuelle created by Emmanuelle Arsan in the 1960s and featured in dozens of softcore films over the years. The series was produced by Alain Siritzky, whose production company proceeded to make many Emmanuelle films for screen and TV during the 1990s and 2000s. Premise The series starred Krista Allen as Emmanuelle, a hedonistic young woman who finds herself teaching the ways of sexuality to a group of aliens who land on Earth, and Paul Michael Robinson as an alien space captain. The story follows an extraterrestrial space crew that finds Emmanuelle on Earth and enlists her help to understand human love and sexuality. As is the case with the other Emmanuelle films, Emmanuelle in Space contains much nudity and sexual content. Today, the various episodes of Emmanuelle in Space are generally available edited together into feature-length productions on DVD and occasionally show up on broadcasters such as Cinemax[1] and cable networks outside the U.S.
Wait. What? This sounds like a joke. This can't possibly be real.

Favourite modern poet?
I really like Frederick Siedel, Christian Bök, and if we're moving outside of English and into work in translation, I really admire Dimitris Lyacos. I think everyone should read him.
I also really liked Jeramy Dodds. He got Me Too'd in 2018 but it was like one of those weird edge cases where if you pieced together what was being said it sounds like he's manic depressive and borrowed some money from someone and tried to kiss someone else while in a manic state. He's not published anything since. I don't know what's going on there.
Read Lyacos.
