I see people being upset about this but honestly? What an epic move on the writers part. Bringing back “dead” characters as a twisted version of themselves is old hat for Star Wars now. They knew what they were doing with the parallels and teasing and if they followed through with it, I feel like it would be cheap. The gut wrenching moment when we see CX-2 get killed and realize that ‘oh tech is really gone’ felt more impactful to me (also kind of a relief because tech wasn’t tortured to the point of being unrecognizable, he died being a hero and he gets to stay that way in the other batcher’s memories❤️)

So the writers gave him all the attention and ... for what?
