Here are some places I personally think you will enjoy:

Giunti Odeon - Libreria e Cinema Giunti Odeon - a gorgeous cinema that has been renovated into a bookshop library (x)

Fondazione Mello - Studio d'Arte Le Colonne  - A small and free hidden art studio with dreamy paintings of Florence (x)

Uffizi Galleries - A beautiful art gallery with many famous paintings, I’d recommend going super early in the morning to avoid crowds! 

For gifts: Kosmima has many beautiful earrings inspired by renaissance paintings (many for €30-€50) and around the city you can find cute stationary shops like this! 

Museo Stibbert - Trust me when I say this is the coolest villa museum I’ve been to in Florence, I’m not normally a fan of samurai gear or armour but even I was impressed!

finished chapter 5 of the thesis (biggest one so far, a bit more than..........80 pages omg), still needs to be proofread but it's a nice way to end the week!!

i have been in fact overloaded with various stuff (doing all but my thesis bc the whole world is against me and decided that I wouldn't be able to work in June) !!! so I was just lurking quietly on here for a while

but I think I'll have more time from now until the end of the summer. I can finally start working a lot more on my thesis (writing is going fine so far, I am like halfway done if you don't count the corrections I'll have to make at some point)

I am wondering how I can make this blog a bit more lively (but politics make my brain and faith in the future hurt a bit too much, so maybe I should stick to books & movies stuff....). Let me know if there's something you were really interested in seeing on my blog!
