Wip of a Sketchbook page that's au related I'm working on. Might go into some of the darker horror things further down... (Trust me, it gets worse and maybe bad ending related. Yes, this au may have multiple endings now)

I enjoy the unsteady vertigo feeling it's giving so far, like a boat rocking back and forth violently in a storm.

I love pen and ink... probably the medium I am most comfortable with and so good for horror vibes.

An experiment with color pencils because I have never drawn something partially submerged in water traditionally before.

I FORGOT TO POST THIS HERE 2 WEEKS AGO

But for my birthday my mom made me a lemon cake and I made myself some decorations out of a drawing via candy melts.

The cake was good btw.

But after I did the candy melt thing I ripped up the drawing version and glued it into my sketchbook because I thought it would look interesting.

Curious about the words on this page? It is just something I wrote that is kinda Au related. Could it be considered a poem? I guess it is??? IDK... but below is a version of it typed it out so it is more legible.

Their actions echoed out 

Like waves of cruelty.

Relentless gashes

Impetuously struck 

One after another. 

A rhythm of anguish

Cursed upon you agony 

Until you were dragged below. 

Despair.

You drowned in these depths.

Forgotten,

In your confinement

The water hollowed your guts.

Everything scarred

Leaving you with nothing but

The harrowing void

As your only company and

The constantly biting 

Never resting 

(perhaps even endless)

HUNGER.

How long were you down there?

I'm very insecure about my writing but I'm trying and I'm curious about what people think about it.

Had a hypothetical question of if Doppelneer had a light creature form what would that look like?

I'm now debating if this could potentially appear canonicaly in the AU somewhere.

Maybe a dream sequence or alternate ending or something else hmmm...

If you are wondering what the text says on it, it was just from me and a friend chatting on discord that I thought was funny while working on the page so I added it in to fill space.

My friend:

Reminds me of something that would come from one of those books I read " They were adorned in yellowy orange fabric, the snowy white scale like feathers lined with gold flowed over them as a cape..." etc etc

My Reply Right after trying to Quote Cesare from Bigtop Burger:

They would stick out like a horseshoe crab in a fresh water environment

Mediums I used: alcohol markers, water-based markers, various black pens, gel pens, metallic watercolors, and a white posca marker. :D

I had too much fun with the filters in the art program I use. I love static.

Yeah... Cannondoppel's face can split open like that but it's painful. Their anatomy is very strange, to say the least.

Fun fact: the words in the first and third pictures are on cut up pieces of paper I took pictures of and edited. I like mixed media vibes, okay?

This is slightly crusty because my files are too powerful for tumblr and I had to make the file smaller.

Something is lurking in the distance...

Just a drawing idea I had. Then it became a GIF. It turned out nice though.

The words on it are some out of context lyrics I thought were neat from a The Cure song (The Lovecats) but I realized later it's the same lyrics used for a secret in Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion that I forgot about. XD

Also the pose looks very similar to one in a movie poster for the 2012 The Thing movie. I swear it just a coincidence. (Granted both The Thing movies have been on my mind lately)

I might post some still images from this in higher quality at a later point in time.

A Wee Bit of Catching Up With This Mess

Soooo originally this was going to be a big post on my main tumblr blog @abyssforphantoms , but I got thinking about it and it just made more sense to make this on it's own blog and repost it over there if I feel like it... instead of spamming my main with this au stuff.

Anyway, Welcome to the mess that is my brain and They Came From The Deep Au. I will not be going too deep into the story in this post, but will do a short summary and explain my prosses behind my decent into madness with the various stuff I have accumulated for it over the year.

Summary:

After the final quest the Abyss Crew was fine. Cannoneer was back, safe with the rest of the crew, and they have gotten what they wanted when they went down to those accursed depths (even though they almost didn't make it back if it weren't for the skykid). So everything should be fine, back to status quo... right?

Well it was for a bit.

Then strange stuff started happening.

Supplies keep disappearing and shifting around the reef. The members of the crew feel like they are being watched from a distance, and the sea almost seems more restless. Every one has a sense of unease...

None more so then Cannoneer,

because of the weird dreams they keep having, and now the crew is saying they did things they didn't do. It was like they were at two places at once.

Then they saw it-them from a distance... they looked almost exactly them! but something was off...

Now it's up to Cannoneer to figure out what is going on, what does this doppelganger (a.k.a Doppelneer or Cannondoppel) want and convince the crew this isn't another one of their "embellished stories".

Meanwhile other things deep down start to stir... and they aren't going to be as "friendly".

And yes Doppelneer will be a big part of this post

October 2022 - "A Familiar Face That Is or Isn't You"

I found the sticky note again and wanted to explore the design further in a one off piece (and then it wasn't, lmao)

I also got into exploring doppelgangers as an idea which lead to me having the questions

"If someone from the Abyss Crew had a doppelganger who would have the most interesting reaction?" (You can guess who I picked lol)

"What if the doppelganger wasn't nessasarly evil but thought they were the person and the person they are a doppelganger of was a doppelganger that took over their life, thus kinda wanting to sabotage the person's life a little?"

January - Inspirational Glitch happened in Sky

Didn't really do to much with the Au for a bit, nor does this really have to deal with the au

But this happened to me one day and thought it was neat yet felt like walking into a sky creepy pasta.

It's the red green visual glitch and the spirit staring glitch with Cannoneer happening at the same time
