I think it's so funny that my partner and his best friend were so close all through grade school that so many people clocked them as gay (both are straight, as far as we know about his friend).

It was at the point where someone, now a trans girl, hung out with them only once, probably hoping she'd finally found some local queers, then just saw that 'Oh, they're just silly boys who love each other platonically. Not my thing.'

Anyway. I never met her but wish the world for her. Somehow I didn't discover I was queer until after I met my partner so there's a weird solidarity there.

Those two Lego-loving nerds are inseparable to this day. The friend saved my partner from a bad home life every weekend and for that I'll be forever grateful.

Just a little PSA for all our mental health (and chronic pain*) spoonies out there! A lot of doctors neglect to mention this little side effect, which means a lot of us are suffering extra from the heat without knowing why.

*Many psych meds are used to treat chronic pain as well, if you didn’t know!

genuinely wild to me that my entire job is being on the phone now. when i moved from my factory job into the office management side i had panic attacks over every phone call. once i had to call a a sales representative for one of our suppliers and left a voicemail for this man (named sam) where i very loudly began with “Hi, Ham!” and i froze for a solid 15 seconds of stomach-to-asshole terror before i hung the phone up with audible force. and that was the day my supervisor told me through tears that if you press the pound key at the end of your voicemail instead of hanging up it gives you the option to re-record.
