ok it's been almost a month since this happened but i saw the indian cricket team make history (aka i saw them get 46-10 and it was....sorta kinda fun bc i saw them bat and bowl on the same day, but we lost shit bad so....yikes ig)

rishabh pant is an absolute icon. mans was talking to the nz players during over switches and even drank the nz players' drinks. he was also very honestly super fun to watch but mildly terrifying bc that ball could be barelling towards you any second.

KL is tall. i couldnt see him super close but he was on the slips w kohli, and had almost a head of height on him. kohli's like 5'9", so KL is pretty much a panamaram.

jaiswal was so serious the whole time. he came towards our stand once and wouldn't look back even if you had his name written across your chest and were standing stark naked. DSP Siraj also graced our stand, but he did wave hi to all of us. we were blessed to be in his presence.

bumrah's bowling action is SO ABSURD. like how he generates that much power when he pretty much jogs for 3/4th of his run up is insane to me. i was also pretty shocked by how...aggressive (?) kuldeep yadav's action was.

i did also see mayank yadav, who came out to practice fielding during lunch. he waved hi to my stand. the only two people i wanted to see but couldn't were gauti bhai and shubman gill (pretty bummed abt that last one)

talking politics with adults in india be crazy af. i have one uncle who's seriously told me that casteism against brahmins exists bc no tamil filmmaker will make a movie degrading lower caste communities. i have ANOTHER uncle who's yelled at a security guard (who was north indian), for speaking hindi and not tamil in bangalore.

i watched jab we met again after a LOOONG time (literally last time i watched it was when i was like ten) and holy shit it's so much better than i remember.

like its one of those rare love stories where every single character is character is well-written, has their own distinct, lovable personalities and most importantly, has a male lead who isn't a walking red flag.

geet is just....so fucking pure. she's as pure as the oxygen gas in oxygen cylinders. she's a literal sunflower. we need more geet's in this world.

aditya kashyap. this man. he isn't just a green flag. he isn't just a green forest. he's a bigger green flag than the amazon rainforest and the western ghats put together. god made men and then gave us aditya kashyap as an apology. like i do not have enough words to describe how amazing aditya kashyap is. every single person in the world deserves an aditya kashyap.

finished the atla live action (even tho i literally have a chem final tomorrow LOL) and i've got some thoughts.

visually it looked incredible. when i saw the first images, i kinda felt that that costumes seemed too cosplay-ish but it actually blended quite well with the backgrounds. bending was very well done and looked natural for the most part. but at times the water bending felt kinda weak? like it felt like there was no force behind the movements. this might be nitpicking tho.

the acting was very good for the most part. dallas liu is FANTASTIC. gordon cormier was very cute. kiawentiio and ian ousley were really good too and i think they did the best w what they were given. i wasn't too sure of lizzy yu was the best choice as azula but she really proved me wrong - definitely think she has the potential to shine in the later seasons (if they get made). my fav out of the younger cast definitely has to be sebastian amoruso tho; he was PERFECT as jet. the older actors were amazing too, but that's was pretty much a given

the writing really let the show down imo. wayyy too many exposition dumps. the pacing was also kinda weird and it felt like we were being given TOO much information at times. sometimes it was boring. liveaction!katara is like a watered down version of the og katara. kiawentiio did her best, but she felt like a less cringey version of the ember island players katara. aang is more preachy than he is goofy. sokka delivers a few laughs, but it didnt have the same charm the og sokka did. also, why did aang learn no waterbending throughout the season?

episode 6 was a masterpiece. easily the BEST episode of the season. zuko's backstory somehow became even more heartbreaking.

overall. i'd give it a solid 6.5/10. maybe a 7 if i'm being generous.
