This is a Nigerian painting titled "Entertainers" by Precious Oshiole (Herald Artday).

This Image was taken by me at my University in Nigeria. Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

The photograph was taken at the sports complex. I like this image because it presents a serene and beautiful landscape featuring a vast green field under a clear blue sky with scattered white clouds. A rainbow accents the sky, enhancing the contrast and adding a magical aspect to the visual.

The image features a digitally rendered Spider-Man logo set against a solid black background. The logo, modelled after Spider-Man from the " Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" and "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" Movies and is placed centrally and is vibrant with a rainbow colour scheme, predominantly consisting of pink, purple, and blue hues. The Logo has a spray paint/ graffiti feel because the character was into street art and graffiti. The highly contrasting background accentuates the logo, which is designed with an abstract, futuristic look, thus contributing to a visually appealing composition.

This Image was taken by me at Mpape Crushed Rock, Abuja.

The image captures a tranquil scene, dominated by a large and calm lake of deep blue color. This lake takes up most of the frame, reflecting the clear blue sky above. The lake is surrounded by rocks that look like they were crushed, hence the name "Crushed Rock". Adding a touch of wilderness to this serene atmosphere, there's a patch of grass and shrubs at the edge of the lake.

This image is a digital artwork, employing an upward perspective through the use of tall, geometric buildings. The buildings on either side are gold. They all come together to frame a sky-blue background. Centered within the image and overlaying the buildings is the boldly stylized word "Columbus", rendered in a yellow hue. The City of Columbus is the capital of Ohio and it is known for its Modern Architecture and public art.

The most dominant elements of design present in this image are contrast in size and colour. The contrast in Size is achieved through the buildings. There are 18 buildings and of different heights and sizes. The contrast in colour is achieved through the Colour of the sky, the colour of the buildings as well as the colour of the text.

The image depicts a vibrant and atmospheric street scene in Tokyo, Japan. Amid what appears to be a rainy day or night, a person can be seen walking down the wet street, clutching an umbrella. The street is lively and decked with numerous colorful storefronts, particularly one large building, possibly pink, featuring signs like "GIGO 55%" and "SEGA'S TAIYAKI". The play of neon lights against the moisture-laden environment creates a moody ambiance, contrasting the solitude of the umbrella-clad pedestrian with the bustling urban setting. Various other signs adorn the scene, including those reading "Character Figures", and well as "SEGA TAIYAKA" adding to the city's lively commercial charm.

This Photograph of Times Square in New York was taken by a Photographer called Wilmer Martinez. The edit of the photograph was inspired by the "Tron Legacy" movie, which was a Sci-Fi movie.

The colours used in the edit give a calm yet futuristic feel. Making use of two dominant colours; Red and Blue

House Gable

House Gable is located on a slope site on the edge of a small settlement with views of the Pyhrn-Priel, an alpine region in Upper Austria. The private builders wanted to create a house that matches the surroundings and brings the outdoors inside. The young family requested a calm, clear architecture made of wood, concrete and glass. The solid timber house’s simplicity comes from the clear structure and proportion of base, ground floor and roof.

I find this building amazing because of its minimalist yet suffisticated design. The building was made using geometric shapes like Circles, triangles and rectangles.

Cloud Gate Bean in Chicago.

Inspired by liquid mercury, Cloud Gate is a 110-ton elliptical sculpture of highly polished stainless steel plates. Designed by internationally acclaimed Indian-born British artist, Anish Kapoor, Cloud Gate is a huge tourist attraction in the heart of downtown Chicago. Its mirror-like surface reflects the city's famous skyline and the clouds above. A 12-foot-high arch acts as a sort of gate and welcomes visitors into the curved chamber beneath the sculpture.

This is a compilation of Designs that show the different ways in which contrast can be achieved in design. In these designs, Contrast was created using Colour, Shape, Texture and Font.

In this piece, the artist uses mirrors to create cubes. Why I particularly like this piece is because all the cubes are of the same size and the reflection of the cubes on each other gives the illusion of a smaller cube, creating a contrast in size.
