My sister has been begging for a little froggie in a wizard hat ever since she saw one on Pinterest. It’s a lot of fun to paint just for fun especially when painting class has been very serious. This little froggo is ready for his costume party! (Or maybe this is his authentic self…)

This study was for adding light (titanium white) to our imprimatura.

And this was study of value shapes, focusing on only five values.

For over a year, I’ve had the idea of turning one of those cheap figure drawings mannequins into the training dummies from Hogwarts Legacy for my Hogwarts themed Christmas tree, and my sister finally brought it to life! She did all the painting, staining and gluing, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!

First day not painting charts in painting class! Here we’re practicing imprimatura, the underpainting basically.

I’m quite happy with how it turned out. It’s not perfect, but I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was able to get to this point! Oil painting is something I don’t have a lot of experience with, one of the reasons I’m taking this class!
