Oh, uh, yeah, I'm supposed to keep posting stuff on here, aren't I?

Some news; I was inspired by a few of my friends, and I'm actually starting my own PMD fic, Smoke & Mirrors, soon!

Actually the first chapter's already been done for a while, but I didn't know that making an AO3 account required a whole invitation process, so I'm kinda waiting on that.

In the meantime, I figured I'd make some art for the four eventual members of Team Vanguard, starting with Zoe, the prickly Zorua. It'll be a little while before she properly introduces herself.

Anyway, I'm not blown away by how this little drawing turned out, but it's a lot better than the original I was going to post.

[After sharing this image with my artist friends, they bombarded me with a total of 16 (yes I counted) reference images of tips for drawing dogs, cats, etc. I didn't expect to have homework over the summer, but hopefully this'll help me improve in the future.]

"Zoe, RUN!"

She tried to forget about the day of the fire, all those years ago. But, like her wound, the scars of the events that transpired never quite left her. The Explorer team that caused it, the damage sustained to The Overgrowth, and her running away from home, being left alone.

But things are better now. She has a new family, a new home, and Ember by her side. Everything is going to be fine.

Right?

Muahaha, while everyone's busy killing off their own heroes, I snuck in with backstory trauma for mine's partner! Zoe's from a PMD-inspired world of my own creation, a wild Zorua who's lived in a Dungeon equivalent her whole life. Blah, blah, blah, lots of cool worldbuilding stuff that this isn't the place for. Get me to talk about it some other time.

Where was I yesterday, and why was this so late? ...Well, I dealt with hella artblock, and it took me all night to beat the (REDACTED). I'll see if I have the time and interest in catching up.
