Chapter Fourteen - Recruit

“What… about Rye?” Furuya asked slowly. He’d known KID had remained nearby all this time, but it still unsettled him how he seemed to just appear. “Is there a way to get a message to him? To get him out, too?” Again, Furuya’s face twisted into a disgusted grimace. “I wouldn’t know. I didn’t try to keep in touch. He might not even be in Japan anymore.” If Shinichi and KID had thought being undercover together in a dangerous criminal organization of vampires might have been a bonding experience, they were evidently wrong. There seemed to be hate frothing just below the surface of Furuya’s words. Perhaps it was not unlike how Shinichi felt about the way Furuya had stood back and let the Organization do their damage on Christmas Eve.

Chapter Thirteen - Net Zero

At half past two in the morning there was no one around when Shinichi approached the man doing sit-ups in the grass at the riverside. No traffic crossed the nearby bridge, and grey cloud cover blocked the moon and stars, but Shinichi didn’t need any light. And neither did this man. Shinichi kept his hands in his pockets and descended the sloped embankment slowly, making no effort to hide. As he went, he caught sight of a small white dog curled up at the bottom, but it didn’t seem concerned with anything – not the vampire a few paces away nor the vampire approaching them. The man surely noticed Shinichi but he didn’t pause his workout, just as unconcerned. Until Shinichi reached his side and spoke. “Furuya Rei-san, isn’t it?”

I headcanon that Every is the “good” of the Fortune Ladies because her design is slightly different from the rest. (The light background and white dress (is based on DS Carly’s dress btw).

So, I always imagined if Carly’s character was continued after the DS arc. Her new deck are mixes Fortune Lady and Fortune Fairy as a symbol of her devolopment. Although the Fortune Lady deck comes from Carly’s evil past, she doesn’t hate it at all and wants to use them to prove these cards can do good, too. And she also learns how to Duel so she can protect herself. 

And Jack can stop ignoring Carly (as a way to protect Carly - he said), instead, he can help her better at Dueling. This is truely the best way for Carly’s safety in the long run.
