Cute things I have / want to do with my tulpa! #1
Have a tea party! It'd be an absolutely adorable way to bond and have fun!
- where will the party be held?
- are you using a table or a blanket? Is it decorated?
- what tea will you be having? Will it be in cute cups or fancy tea sets?
- what snacks will you have? What snacks does your tulpa like?
- is it a themed party or for a special occasion?
- does your tulpa want to try learning tea party etiquette? It'd be a fun learning experience!

Something About The Simply Plural Gatekeeping I Need To Get Of My Chest...
Okay, this is a vent post.
The people gatekeeping Simply Plural are doing so under the pretense that this is a "disability aid." And to an extent, that's true. Simply Plural is an app that helps systems, and some of those features are especially geared towards helping DID/OSDD systems. But there's an underlying tone to this that only DID/OSDD systems should be allowed to use this. It presents a view where anyone who uses this resource with DID/OSDD is taking away from DID/OSDD systems.
Before I go further, I just want to point out how stupid this is, again. I saw one person compare using Simply Plural to stealing a wheechair from a disabled person. Even if we agreed with the false premise that it's specifically made for DID/OSDD systems, it's still nothing like that, because unlike wheelchair, anyone can use an app without taking it away from others. Rather, Simply Plural would be more analogous to a ramp. It's built with disabled people in mind, but can be used by anyone, and you look pretty dumb if you're going to call someone ableist for walking up a ramp because walking up a ramp is "stealing resources from disabled people." 🙄
But Simply Plural is a resource made with all systems in mind. Not just DID/OSDD systems. The same is true of Pluralkit. These resource were never meant exclusively for disordered systems, so the argument of them being disability aids doesn't make sense.
Moreover, many of these systems who gatekeep Simply Plural and Pluralkit are anti-endos. They claim something that was made by the inclusive plural community, and then try to gatekeep it and act like they can decide who has a right to use it.
While they focus on singlets, the underlying implication to the "disability aid" argument is that anyone who doesn't have a disorder who uses the app is taking something away from disabled people.
All of this brings me to a point I've been thinking about for a long time... the anti-endo community doesn't make anything. They don't contribute resources. They just take things other people have made and then claim those things for themselves.
For all the claims of endogenic systems stealing resources from DID/OSDD systems, a lot of the resources in these communities were created by the inclusive plural community.
Simply Plural is heavily tied to the Plural Association, and likely wouldn't exist without the inclusive plural community supporting it. A relationship made apparent through this thread.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And let me just say how ungrateful the person comes off here. They use Simply Plural for free with no ads, and are almost definitely not supporting Apparyllis in any way. Yet they have the nerve to challenge their support of endogenic systems and one of their largest donors who pays for them to be able to have such free and convenient access to the app.
Then of the two major system bots on Discord, Pluralkit's creators are very explicit in supporting any systems using it (and allow its use for singlet RP'ers), and Tupperbox was originally made for tulpa systems.
As I've discussed before, many of the terms in circulation in the community today originated with the inclusive community. "Plural" and "headmate" came from this community. Terms like fictive and factive were taken from Soulbonders.
And those that weren't taken from the inclusive community were taken from medical terms. And I say taken, because they're often redefined in ways that weren't intended when they were coined.
For example, while medical professionals refer to alters as parts of a system, they've also used the same terms to describe subpersonalities in the IFS model. Someone who undergoes IFS therapy and feels plural afterwards has a legitimate claim to call themselves systems based on this psychiatric definition. Recently, the term has been applied by psychiatrists to intelligent voices in psychotic disorders. And current studies into endogenic systems have largely been using system terminology. And so when someone says you can't call yourself a system because it's medical terminology, they're ignoring how the term is actually used by medical professionals.
You could also apply this to "introjects" as well, where introjection is a psychological term that refers to any instance of acquiring traits from another individual. Introjection was never meant to refer exclusively to a DID/OSDD phenomenon. And terms like "host," while used to refer to the primary fronter, have just as much history in spiritual multiplicity if not more.
It's a pattern of claiming exclusive ownership over resources and language they didn't create and don't have the right to define, then gatekeep others from using those resources.
And to be clear, they're obviously welcome to use any of the terms coined by the inclusive community, as well as the resources the inclusive plural community has built. I would even encourage it.
Simply Plural, in particular, is an incredibly important resource to the mental health of many systems.
But the anti-endo community didn't build it. You don't get to decide who does and doesn't use it. You don't get to gatekeep a resource that was made by a community that you hate and don't want to exist.
If you don't like it, you can always make your own resources. But that would require anti-endos to actually build something to contribute to the community for once instead of just taking from others.
And this is what I find frustrating about this whole controversy.
Anti-endos constantly project.
The inclusive plural community built Simply Plural. They built Pluralkit and Tupperbox. They contributed a good half of the most common system terms in circulation today, with most of the rest being psychological terms or just normal words, most of which weren't even meant to be applied exclusively to multiplicity.
The anti-endos hate our community, yet they rely on the resources our community built. They go so far as to gatekeep these resources we built, because not only do they rely on them, they feel like they should own them. They feel entitled to the resources we created as if those resources are their property.
And then they claim that we're stealing their resources.
In the end, the pro-endo community is one that builds things up, creating resources for everyone to use
The anti-endo community just tears people down.

Update on our journey into tulpamancy !!
Progress Checklist;
- Head pressure
- Easier communication
- Better visualisation
Summary;
I've been getting lots of head pressure on the upper right of head, typically before or after a forcing session. Forcing in general has become much easier and less awkward, and I've been needing to repeat much less! Rei's voice is staying steadier than ever and is getting consistent, it's also been much easier to hear vamp instead of me! His form has also gotten much easier to see, as has our rather barren wonderland for now!

Analysis of the Tulpamancy Tag
So… I’ve been on here long enough, looked through most Plurality tags, and found a disturbing lack of a Tulpamancy presence on here. I mean, I don’t blame other Tulpamancers for not using this site after the Koomer fiasco and the vocal minority of anti-endogenics probably hating Tulpamancy more than box-standard endogenic systems since for most, it’s a choice and they’re probably horrified that some people actually want to willingly learn how to dissociate (not getting more into that, though).
Checking the #tulpae tag, the most recent blog with that as a common topic was from 2016, nearly THREE YEARS AGO, and I see my posts crowding the #tulpamancy tag when it shouldn’t since we usually only post twice a day here. Barely anyone uses Tumblr for recording their Tulpamancy experiences and sharing them, and other than the causes I mentioned before, I want to find out why so many people left and why the #tulpa and #tulpamancy tags are graveyards.
In fact, I’ve seen more systems blogging on the Tulpamancy subreddit (which is the largest gathering of Tulpamancers so far) than on here despite the subreddit not being designed nor allowing frequent updates (biggest example is this one user that everyone on the subreddit should know since they’ve been a big deal lately and how everyone tells them that they need to start a blog instead of crowding the subreddit). It’s just… really strange since this place is literally meant for blogging.
Which brings me to this: any remaining, active Tulpamancy blogs out there that we can follow? My system and I can’t be the only ones blogging about Tulpamancy regularly, right? We don’t even blog about tulpa development because I already developed my tulpa ages ago! Here’s right here, standing behind me and watching me type without saying much. I mean, he’s sticking around because I need his help later, but that’s besides the point.
We don’t reblog anything because we don’t exactly want it to crowd the blog, but we’ll reblog any Tulpamancy system that’s left here and active!

System Asks!
And by “system” we mean a set of people in one body regardless of type, so anti-endos can immediately fuck off.
Here’s a bunch of questions (hopefully) geared to any type of system! Feel free to reblog your answers or keep them to yourself. Hope you like it!
1. How’d you form as a system?
2. Who’s your most active systemmate?
3. Do you have multiple types of systemmates? If yes, what types?
4. Is your system capable of switching properly or a form of possession?
5. How varied are the forms of your systemmates? Do some even have forms at all?
6. If you’re able to switch, what do you do more: cofront or straight-up switch? And if you can’t switch, do you use possession or co-conscious instead?
7. Is parallel processing frequent in your system? Do your systemmates butt in at random, unprompted times because of it?
8. How complex is your mindscape? Does your system even use it? Do you even have one to begin with?
9. Is making major decisions that affects the whole system hard? Who argues a lot when discussing major changes?
10. Does your system have a fronting schedule if you’re able to switch? If yes, how is it split up?
11. Are you outed to anyone who wasn’t already plural when you outed yourselves? If not, would you ever plan on doing it? If you have outed yourselves to others, did any decide to become plural too (by means like Tulpamancy) because of it?
12. Have you ever met another system in real life? If yes, what was your reaction(s)?
13. If you’re able to switch, does your systemmates show any psychosomatic shifts (like a change in allergies, vocal cue, sleeping patterns, etc) without conscious input? If yes, did they ever surprise you?
14. If you’re ever having a bad day, panic attack, etc, do you have any systemmates who are good at calming you down? And if yes, how do they do it?
15. Do any of your systemmates display traits of mental disorders (ASD, ADHD, ect) if the body doesn’t have any, or do they display different traits of the same disorder if you have any?
16. Do any of your systemmates display unique talents whenever in front? If yes, what talent and how good are they at it?
17. Did your system ever have to work on improving a skill like communication, fronting abilities, etc? (Tulpamancy systems especially,) if so, how long did it take for it to improve and are you still practicing it?
18. Are all your systemmates somewhat similar to you in some way? And if not, who stands out the most if someone took a look inside your head?
19. If your system has a defined original/host and if you’re able to switch, do you front in public? If yes, do you try to impersonate the original/host or just be yourself?
20. Despite all systems having their own issues, do you all love each other (platonically or not) regardless of your struggles? Would you wish to be any different because of said struggles?
21. Have a freebie! Make and answer your own question or add onto the list if you choose to reblog this!

Hey, tulpas:
Concentrated thought and replying to mindvoices is not culturally appropriative.
It’s something we do naturally, even.
Something a human brain naturally does can never be culturally appropriative; we all have the potential.
You have the right to exist like everyone else.

For Those who Want to Learn Switching/Possession
I thought about this when updating my guide and decided to talk about it because… I just felt inspired to write this and wanted to use my inspiration.
So possession and switching, right? Just have the tulpa slide in and assert control while you lay back and either spectate for possession or chill while in a mindscape or imposed for switching, right? Well, one thing gets in the face of a lot of hosts who want to learn: you can’t let go.
Why is that? Well, you could be having doubts, lack of faith, or fear in losing control of the body. That’s to be expected, and I’d say completely normal for the average person. But here’s the thing, your tulpa is most likely a good dude who wants to do right by you. Or not, I don’t know all your tulpas personally. Either way, it’s generally correct to assume they’d do nothing stupid while in control that would intentionally harm you or them, but accidents can and will happen. Most likely, they’d probably just impersonate you around friends and family who don’t know that they exist, or do their own hobbies and/or interests with the time they’re given. Basically live life for the most part.
For you, though, what you experience during possession is basically being a spectator, watching the body go around and do things without any input from you and you probably feel and experience everything happening because you’re not switched out unless you used a dissociative method of possession. And even then, you still have to watch.
For switching, you could be chilling in the mindscape in the form of your dreams, finding things to do… unless you’re like me and find it to be pointless because the world you’re existing in is just made up and putting effort into things makes no sense because you can just imagine them being done instantly. You only do things because you got nothing better to do and it’s better than sleeping or watching whatever your tulpa is doing.
If you’re feeling creative, you might impose yourself and do tulpa things and essentially switch roles with your tulpa, maybe mess with them a little. Maybe you feel like having a nap, so you fall unconscious, able to come back whenever you want, just that you don’t feel like watching the clock tick by while your tulpa does whatever.
Basically, switching and possession’s super weird the first few times you experience it and it probably causes some anxiety. Guess what the anxiety does…
It makes switching and possession a pain for your tulpa!
Being an anxious little host isn’t a good thing, and it only makes things vexing for both parties. Really, you need to just let things flow, play some music and just chill. Chuck those fears out the window, have your tulpa go on an epic odyssey to prove that they’re willing and able to live real life, learn other people’s experiences! If neither of you care for switching and possession, never feel obligated to learn it to be a “True Tulpamancer ™.”
You do you.
Do whatever feels right for you both or more if you have more than one tulpa. Don’t feel pressured and go at your own pace:
It’s your experience and nobody else’s.
Thanks for reading!

Non-disordered endogenic systems are so important to the plural community.
Plurality is such a subjective experience, and seeing so many systems with all sorts of differences sharing their experiences and resources and encouraging self acceptance is such a beautiful thing.
We personally have learned so much from endogenic non-disordered systems, which we may write about more later. We’re so grateful we found the inclusive plural community!
To all the non-disordered endogenic systems out there, we hope you have a good day/night!

Allowing yourself a little personalization can go a long way in feeling like a real person.
Make your own email, your own main blog, your own discord account, whatever! You're not obligated to use your host's.

Things you can do before making a tulpa/parogenic headmate
If you're still questioning if you should make a tulpa or you just want to get prepared here are some cool things you can do In the meantime.
-Create a Pinterest board with things like character inspiration/faceclaims, names, wonderland references and personality traits. Having a whole bunch of references can help you plan out your tulpa and will help your visualization. Keep in mind your tulpa will probably deviate later on.
-Read as many guides/resources as you can, seriously a whole bunch and you can even make notes if you like.
-Decide how much you want to active force everyday and commit to it, you can use the time to meditate, practice visualization, flesh out your wonderland, etc. Later on you can convert this time you've made into active forcing time. This is a good way to gauge if you are ready for the commitment having a tulpa might bring.
-Practice passive forcing by narrating to yourself. You can do this while at work/school or doing chores.
-Join communities centered around tulpas. You can learn from other systems' experiences and ask questions. Make friends with other systems/tulpas.
-I already mentioned this but you can create and explore your wonderland.
If you have anything to add let me know! You don't need to do any of these things if you don't want to also! I'm new to tumblr sorry lol.

Do you by any chance have the really long novel-length tulpamancy guide you once linked? We lost it and we’re trying to find it again ^^;
- 🦋🪁
I assume this is in reference to the Tulpa's Complete DIY Guide to Tulpamancy. (71k words)
Although I don't know if I might might have also referenced @eeveecraft's "Tulpamancy: Guide Into the Strange and Wonderful" is actually longer. (78k words.)
I also know I've referenced Abvieon’s Guide to Fast and Effective Tulpa Creation which technically qualifies even if it's "only" 49k.
I'm guessing the novel length guide you're talking about would have been one of these three. If not, maybe you can find it here. Hope that helps!

Super helpful guides!
Do you have any suggestions for immersion in the innerworld? We don't have a stable headspace and would like one.
We're still learning ourselves. I'd advise trying out these guides:
https://tulpanomicon.guide/refocus-on-your-wonderland.html
https://tulpanomicon.guide/paracosm-immersion.html
https://tulpanomicon.guide/when-things-go-wrong.html
In addition to all of that, the inner world isn't a replacement for the physical world, and being able to focus on experiences in the physical world will help you elaborate your simulate one. Throughout the day, make a habit of paying attention to your surroundings. Try to take in as many details of the real world as you can. The sights, the sounds, the smells... how your body and your muscles feel at any given moment.
One exercise to try is to look at the room around you, take in as many details as you can, and then try to recreate it in your head.
Finally, don't expect too much too quickly. Don't get discouraged if you don't instantly get the results that you're after. Instead, reward yourself for every tiny improvement, no matter how insignificant it seems. Don't make your goal being perfect. Instead, just focus on getting better.
Good luck! 😄
