Updated the title screen so I don't confuse anyone on whether it's official with the numbering- Motivated after reading DirectDoggo's last post about dsaf on the Gamejolt page. But the project name itself wont change for some reason??? Lmk if anyone knows a solution.
Also tried to implement a battle, but struggling to find a way to make them look like the flipside battles without using an overcomplicated script (I'm kinda terrified of them haha ^^')

I feel bad for asset artists more than ever right now. I'm just making icons for things but there's so many like goddamn. Will I ever need any of these? I don't know, and that's the problem- I'll just copy the ones I'm specifically making into another layer.

Alright y'all, I sized down the sprites so it didn't look like Dave was moving too slow, he's gotta actually be slippery, am I right? But lmk if everyone's too small.
Also got another room in here with my first functional version of a tileset! Looks very FNAF World V1 so far and considering that's the game I kinda wanna parody with this (as all the DSAF games parodied a specific gameplay style), that's awesome. Just gotta fix how that pathing looks cuz its a little strange.

Was going to try and figure out autotile sets and make one for the soul realm after The Flipside in Dave Quest, but I literally got sick yesterday during my graduation (very unfortunate timing). I think I can binge tutorials before I go to con tomorrow and try again on Monday bc I think I used enough acetaminophen and citrus to scare it off.

Almost have a kinda finished plot synopsis. With the concept I'm going for, I feel like I've strayed from the formula a little farther than I would like. Maybe I'll have to introduce some more familiar antics, like I should have a classic Dayshift visual novel format segment rather than it being almost exclusively Flipside-style RPG gameplay, I'm just not sure where to implement it... Also dumb deaths, lots and lots of dumb death opportunities and endings.

Started writing out a story for Dave Quest, we'll see where it goes. So far, looks like it'll be fun characterizing Blackjack more.
Other than that, I would definitely want Henry flashbacks or smth but I'm having so much trouble figuring out how to get his TTS. There's a site that offers the voice with a bunch of emotions for $50 but I have no idea if it's legit.

Ran into a weird issue

So, movement works theoretically, but I'm guessing it's only moving the collision shape or the camera and not the player scene as a whole.
Here's an image of the scenes if anyone might know how to remedy this.
