Was recently browsering through my DA gallery and found this piece and simply couldn't help but remake this one with smol Mali instead hHH <3

While I was making this piece, I remembered a time when my father and I went outside at dawn just before the sun just started to rise and watched it, for me, still a child, it was so magical to see the dark blue sky turn to a orange-ish pink shade - I wanted to give that experience to Mali somehow, so probably this will be the inspired lore for this image.

Princess Mali

Been a while since I wanted to introduce my youngest Kovu x Kiara cub round here, so hey, here's the young lady! :D

I simply had the URGE last month to do a fake screencap of Mali heavily based/edited on this same Simba Screencap from the first movie

In this scene Mali was probably intercepted by her aunt, Bora - who usually is the one who accompanies Mali whenever her parents are not present, but sometimes she forgets and rush ahead.

Baby Mirage

Mirage, unlike normal ponies, was born from an egg that was magically infused with both Celestia and Discord's magic - Since they both couldn't have a child the conventional way, they opted to use this magical method.

At the time of her birth/to hatch???, Mirage caused some trouble for Discord (who was taking care of her alone at the moment, since Celestia would be busy that day) and the Mane Six, since when she gave signs of breaking the egg, her chaotic magic began to give signs of the same, causing the egg to disappear and teleport away through out the entire Ponyville.

Princess Mirage Desire

"Princess Mirage Desire, or simply Princess Mirage, is an Draconequus and Alicorn hybrid individual and the daughter of Princess Celestia and the chaos lord, Discord.

Being a offspring of a Draconequus and a Alicorn, Mirage is probably one of the most powerful magic being in Equestria. Although having a good control over it, her magic is extremely chaotic, having the capability to use chaos magic just as effectively and powerful. Mirage was very sheltered as a child, as Celestia and Discord knew she had the potential to be EXTREMELY dangerous (especially as a foal). She spent most of her childhood at home in the castle or in Chaosville learning to control her power. She is depicted as a wild card which have multiple personalities. However, she is usually nice, cunning, and witty. She loves mischief but knows when she is going too far. Lover of fun and everything mentioned before. Mirage is well known to be a bit lazy and will often use her title as princess to get away of doing certain things or events. Although she does tend to abuse her power as a princess every once in a while, she is actually very down to earth, as her mother."

It's been a long time since I wanted to redesign Mirage with characteristics that were more hers than her parents', since, in the past, her design was much more based on characteristics literally taken from them. So I finally came up with a relatively decent redesign. And to avail, I'm here to introduce it for the first time here ✨
